Right, so this was typed as I watched. More or less.
Turlough has just sighed and gone "...earthlings." and is getting his horrible shorts off and diving into the sea in his briefs and very cute shirt I must've died and gone to Who heaven. Ahem.
...
OH MY GOD HOWARD/BOT JUST TURNED INTO THE MASTER.
That said, Peri is already annoying the fuck out of me, and not just because of her very, very poor American accent.
And I wish I had a clue what's the what with the Chameleon bot thing. No, actually, I wish we'd get more close-ups on Turlough'smuscles tattoo thing.
Wait, Peri's Howard-angst is giving the Master trouble? Fuck. Isn't he supposed to be. Like. A supervillain?
Must she really squeal every five minutes?
...oh, god, somebody shoot her. Please. She's just running around showing off her breasts.
Heee! Turlough in shorts and that lovely shirt. I don't need much to be happy. And it just struck me that the Master is in a very nice suit, instead of a very gay Timelord outfit. And by gay I mean drag queen.
I'm liking the theme of freedom of religion a lot, for the record.
That'll teach you to wear pink, Peri. (What? I don't like pink.) And you keep squealing and you annoy me.
Okay, what the hell is Chameleon? I need answers, people. What's the what here? And why would the Doctor leave such a dangerous bot on its own on the TARDIS? Not to mention that he left Peri and "Howard" there on their own and that's just wrong.
Heee! Turlough snapping at the Doctor! And then explaining more quietly. Heee! I have no clue what's the what with his father yay! Mmmm. I love it when he gets all bossy.
Oh, Peri, just die already.
Peri: Turlooooough!...
Turlough: Peri?
Peri: *pants, heaving breasts* Am I pleased to see you.
Turlough: *don't really wish i could say the same* *fails to say the same* *says the exact opposite with a look at Malcon*
...oh my god this is awful they're burning them.
...two days later, I get to watch the rest of it. And Turlough's being smart and cool and a useful companion. *glares at Peri* Why are the male companions always useful and the girls, well, not so much? (Sorry, Sarah.) And please Turlough, do keep bending over that machine. Yes, just so, thank you. Just because you're useful doesn't mean I'll stop perving.
What kept him? Common sense, Doctor. Heee! *fangirls Turlough*
Turlough's got a vendetta! *bounces* I like intense Turlough.
And those guys are so fucking gullible and stupid. Faith makes them so. And yay Turlough for being authoritative!
And now he's got two useless notspace suits, unless he travels with mice for companions.
Oh, Turlough. Why won't you tell us.
AHAHAHAHAHA such a Buffy moment! I am tiny! But fear me! Notspace suits not completely useless after all.
Oh for FUCK'S sake, Peri, you could have just stepped on him and then off with the Master forever (or until next time the writers want to bring him back), and instead you let him go and then sneeze to let him escape again? Seriously? SNEEZE?
Peri, you are so fucking useless and stupid.
Oh, Turlough.
...oh, Turlough. (Vislow?)
Heee! "The worst place in the universe. English public school on Earth."
Hee! Putting her hand back in place! She needs looking after, that one. He realises exactly how useless she is.
...oh, god, T so wanted to snog the Doctor goodbye! And that last look back! And his words to Peri! And oh, how much the Doctor didn't really care for Peri to stick around.
So, to sum it up? The Doctor and Turlough? More slashable than ever. Me? Perving muchly over Turlough. And disliking Peri rather intensely. Also? Relatively good work on the issue of religion and blind faith, although I'd have hoped for a less manichean ending. Ish. Oh, well. There was much Turlough-perving.
As for today's episode, spoiler-less? OMGMARC! Right, so I have a huge crush on Marc Warren ever since I saw my first episode of Hustle. Certainly not helped by either State of Play or, oh god, Green Street Hooligans, where he played a not-whacky part and oh god Marc you are so talented. Shirley Henderson was very Shirley-Henderson-y, too. Pretty good episode. Definitely a Russell vibe to it. And next week's Nina Sosanya oh god I can't wait! *bounces*

Date: 2006-06-18 02:57 am (UTC)And, as for Kamelion . . . he's a robot that the Doctor picked up several episodes back. He happens to have the ability to "chamelion" into anyone he wants. (When we meet him, we think he's some anicent king.) The Doctor defeats the Master in that episode and clearly seeing that he can't leave the robot alone back in the 1600s or whenever, he takes him with him. The character was supposed to be more developed, apparently, but as it was entirely a robot (not a man in a suit) it was remote controled, and the man who puppeted/created it was killed shortly after the character's introduction, and apparently no one else could puppet it very well. AS a result, it was written out a lot. This is actually the first time you see the thing in a long time, hahaha. I guess he's just been wandering around the TARDIS.
Um, back to Turlough's hotness, yes. He's delightful in this episode! Sigh. If only Peri had gone away and Turlough stayed. I would have enjoyed the Sixth Doctor if just because Turlough was around. :(

Date: 2006-06-18 01:05 pm (UTC)Oh, hence the whole "halfway between a bot and a human" look he started to pull off, yes. Poor thing. But, well, not many robots can pull off being an interesting enough character anyway. ...I miss Data. Right. Anyway! Thanks for the info!
He is absolutely lickworthy, isn't he. God. I couldn't stop perving, which I don't usually do all that much, believe it or not. And I have yet to watch anything with Six. I'm not sure what to watch next. Maybe Turlough's first story? Mmm. Don't know.
Also? Oh, god, your icon. *snorts*

Utter RTD and DT brilliance *squeee* I don't think I'll ever tire of watching it.

Date: 2006-06-18 01:01 pm (UTC)I'm rambling. Heee!
And, well, I didn't think L&M was all that brilliant, but there was Marc and Shirley - okay, mostly Marc - and dear Elton made some lovely points.

Date: 2006-06-18 01:45 pm (UTC)Who, Jensen? That picture is FOREARM PORN. Seriously. Supernatural has reacquainted me with my Jensen crush of old.
He's just as good as Alan to perv over forearms and neck. I want to lick him all over.
