Heh, yes, I have been told that this Josef/Adam fixation is my fault. I admit to enjoying the results quite a lot and continuing to encourage them.

Josef- he appears to be one thing in the first episode, but like Adam , and Methos, he is multi-layered and there is still so much to learn, and it's all beneath the surface of what he presents to the world, what he allows to be seen.
