(no subject)

Ha, literature exam good and done. Was lucky (thanks, Joss! another well-sacrificed kiwi), the "dissertation" was on Midsummer and the text commentary on Joseph Andrews, which I was hoping for. I took Midsummer, of course. The subject was identity. I feel I did something quite conventional, which is a bit of a drag, but I think it's not bad. I didn't have an epiphany like last semester, but was suitably inspired, let's say. Even managed to slip in a few quotes to say "yes, I read it, I know it, I love it!" Well, it may not have said "I love it," but I sure do. Now, I don't quite know how the teacher grades, so... Fingers crossed!

Will probably post Chapter Two of FoF later today in celebration - and yay! Chapter One got a fairly good welcome on [livejournal.com profile] pirategasm (don't you love that name, [livejournal.com profile] twixou?).

No escape from reality

As I said, here's chapter two of FoF. And again, please review? A feedbacked (fedback?) Fan' is a happy Fan'. Many thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] cgwriting again, who considerably helped improve this chapter with helpful, constructive advice. And did I mention she was writing a sequel to No Rest for the Weary called Tempus Fidgets, which is Dawn/Groves? Yes, Groves. Yum, as far as I'm concerned.
