Oh IT guy, let me throttle you slowly and painfully...
Not only are the IT guys being a real pain by upgrading those filters with ridiculous notions (why oh why should IMDb be banned?) and trying to make sure we cannot check our e-mail, but they're also unable to do their bloody jobs! Yesterday Internet was down right when I was about to buy my plane tickets for Easter, and now it's down all over again. Me hates them. (Obviously now it's back up, or I couldn't send this, but my point still stands.)
'Sides, first lesson this morning was with a pupil I really don't enjoy teaching. Her level of French is quite good, really – when I marked them on some oral work, she got the best grade. But oh how I do not like her. She has no motivation whatsoever. She is the typical blasé teenager who does not see the point but shows up anyway to each lesson because she is "a good student." She is just so unpleasant to teach. So I think I'm in cranky mode all right.
Been a short while since a TV show made me cry, but that got me all right. I wanted to bash Jack's head in when he decided to keep going despite Ethan's warning. I could just see him killing Charlie, what did he need him for if not to use as a deterrent? And Charlie's character had come such a long way, he could totally have died then and it would have been perfect character closure, though heartbreaking. But then he came back and I was actually happy about it! I usually hate it when they do that, but they got me to be so grief-stricken by it that I actually welcomed his return to life. So, guys, kudos. That rocked. And I am so making a wallpaper saying "Where's my bloody miracle?" with that picture of him staring blankly ahead.
I already did a Sayid wallpaper though, after his episode. I adore him to bits. And Nadya is so very beautiful. Their story is of the very beautiful. Also, v. nice Sawyer interaction with Kate re the golf court and being an outcast. Lists of wallpapers to make: a couple of Charlies and a Sawyer/Kate. At least. I also need to rewatch the episodes and write me some fanfiction. Anyone can point out good Lost fanfiction websites? (You never know, they might not be banned.)
About the Claire episode – is it just me or did they reach the complete wrong conclusion about the psychic? Well, maybe not about his motivations, but it was so obvious that the terrible danger the baby would be put in if Claire wasn't raising it is linked to "the others" and thus that the psychic, by trying to protect the baby, actually lent in a hand to put it in danger. I love the theme of fate with a twist of irony, when trying to avoid something is what triggers that exact something. I do wish they'd have pointed that out.
Ethan creeped me out from the start, it's a shame. I would have preferred not to see it coming. Also, superbeing much? I do hope we'll get enough of an explanation at some point. I really enjoy that show and I do not want it to become an Alias, as in getting completely out of hand. I want to know that JJ has a big plan and that he knows where he's going and that he is not going to improvise and keep coming up with new unplanned twists to keep the show spinning. Pretty please with a cherry on top?
Hey, is David Fury actually David Fury? There is hope for this show if he is. David rocks. (Drew says so as well, not just me. Means it must be true.)
