Princes of the Universe, Queen

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course you'd also be a Kane fan. *BEAMS*

No time to go icon-frenzy on J today. It's very sad, having a life. A friend and I drank to Jennifer and Vince yesterday, seeing as we could've been stalking them that very moment.

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! Queen and/or Highlander fan?

[identity profile] littlegothsin.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly Queen. Highlander was fun, though.

[identity profile] 817.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
27. The Way You Look Tonight, Frank Sinatra or some random cover ;)

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so random as brilliant. Don't ask me why, but I'm in love with Mel Thormé's version. Sped up quite a bit. Lovely. :)

*prods* I was so relying on you to find the one random Robbie song, mate.

[identity profile] wields-a-pen.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Bright Eyes - Lover I Don't Have to Love ... ohhhh did this song do wonders for me whenever I was angsty!

30. Barenaked Ladies - Call & Answer

I need to do this meme! :D

[identity profile] jade-plume.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
#5 : I want it all, Depeche Mode
I think #3 is a Chris Isaak one... Which I don't remember the title ^^
And I guess #13 comes from a fan version of "Ballad of Jaynestown" ?
Our love for him now, ain't hard to explain,
the hero of canton , the man they call Jayne !

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Fun" is one way of putting it. "Mostly crap, despite an amazing universe and some brilliant characters, which manage to make it watchable," another.

And oh, so very ficcable.

It was my first fandom.

[identity profile] twixou.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't help it:

13. Ballad of Joss, Bedlam Bards.

Btw, more pictures of the con, by a jedi chef: http://www.planet-zhadum.com/convs/rendezvous3/index.html
And picture n°14? So thought about you when I saw it. ;)

[identity profile] 817.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be 18. One of God's Better People.

[identity profile] littlegothsin.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a crappy show that was good enough to be fun to watch, and crappy enough to be, well, just fun to watch. A bit like "lois et clark, les nouvelles aventures de Superman". I was young.

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
*cheers* I was hoping you'd come through for me. *beams*

[identity profile] the-grynne.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
11. Redeemer - Marilyn Manson
12. System - Chester Bennington
15. Eulogy - Tool

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I adore this song. It's simply brilliant. And I was expecting you or B to get 30, yay!

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
6, yes, not 5. And it is, indeedn, Chris Isaak. Come on, I'm sure you can do it.
Indeed, it's the Ballad of Joss by the Bedlam Bards. Great filk!

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
*SQUEES!* I just sent the link to Brix. Oh, god. These two. And yes. And thank you!

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
So somebody else has actually seen this movie and not repressed the whole experience? I was tempted to do just that, given, well, the movie, but I like the OST too much. And there are some amazing shots. So much potential, wasted away. Hmpf.

[identity profile] jade-plume.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oops, 6 yeah. But I know 5 too, it's Portishead ! And now I am weary, and I feel like I do... it's "Only you" ^^
And where can we fin the Ballad of Joss *o* ?
*go back listening the Ballad of Jayne, which it isn't helpin' about Chris Isaak*

[identity profile] jade-plume.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I prefer Janice's version in I don't remember what one friends Episode ^^"

[identity profile] the-grynne.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Hard to believe it's directed by the same guy who's done such a great job with Battlestar Galactica. I blame it all on the script, really, not to mention the HIDEOUSLY dodgy makeup effects in that movie. I don't even mind Stuart Townsend. He has a very electric vibe. And the soundtrack is, as you said, gorgeous. I remember it so well because WB had the entire soundtrack available to listen online about a month before the film and the CD were released, and I just became addicted to it.

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! I'll give you the Ballad of Joss next time we meet online. Remind me!

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
...is it? God. I mean, I still haven't seen BSG (*pines*), but, yeah. I've heard enough. Guh. The script was horrible. They butchered these characters. And the make-up, oh, god. I actually like Stuart Townsend. Even though that wasn't a French accent, mate. Listen to Vincent Perez for hell's sake. The soundtrack is wonderful. Nothing like what was in the book, and it was an improvement. Brilliance.

[identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com 2006-06-20 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't remember that. I think it might be a blessing. ;)
