1. Please Robert to come back to life and direct more movies. (Aka I've finally just seen A Prairie Home Companion ('The Last Show' in French - don't ask).)
2. How amazing was the Rome season premiere? Oh, my god. Octavian manipulating his mother so easily? I can't actually wait for Simon Woods. Attia being Attia, and Anthony being Anthony - oh god how I love Anthony, in all of his carnality, if that's a word. And if it isn't, it should be, and it should apply to what makes him him. Servilia being as omfg as ever. Brutus being so righteous and not wanting to spill blood that did not have to. Cicero being Cicero, so very opportunistic and not exactly good at it. And, of course, oh my, Vorenus and Pullo, how much you own me both. And while my lust is die-hard on Kevin McKidd, it's Pullo who owns my heart. And their friendship, god, I don't even want to slash them! Which is saying a lot. This whole show owns me. Gods.
3. I can't figure out if I want to see Cashback or not. On the plus side, Sean Biggerstaff = cutie, and the trailer looks very intriguing. On the minus side, I have no clue if Sean can act, and the trailer is slightly off-putting.
4. I was not blown away by Marc Warren's Dracula. Joss knows I adore that actor, but I just wasn't. Sorry. I liked him much better as Teatime.
5. My Shakespeare exam is on Thursday. This is a perfectly legitimate reason to watch Shakespeare Retold: A Waste of Shame instead of start studying at last.
6. I now know the story behind the "Amour"s. And I half wish I didn't. If you still want the story, links are here.
7. Season premiere of The L-Word? Shane is still hot, what a surprise. Max is still hot, what a surprise. Jenny's still a bitch, and a pain, what a surprise. ...the actual surprise, for those of you who've seen it, was oh so very welcome. Hee! So beautiful. (Bonus points for featuring Peter Wingfield, too.)
8. Amando - my new MacBook - is running perfectly. He makes me happy. And he is so pretty!

queenspanky is coming to Paris in March. This is making me squee in delight! *squees*

I also liked the scene wherein lawyer whatshername finally puts an end to Bette and Tina's endless wailing. Phew.
ps. Your subject line makes me want to give Rome a try...
ps (2). Hi, I'm k., amateur writer and professional-film-music-composer-in-training. In case I haven't introduced myself before. :)

ps. You absolutely should and for more than just my subject line it is BRILLIANT.
ps (2). I don't think you had, actually, but I don't mind strangers on my flist! I was wondering how you got there, though. Anyway, it's nice to officially meet. I'm Fan', amateur writer when the muses deign to strike again and hopefully soon to be professional-translator-in-training. Which is much less interesting than film music composer. I sort of want to ask you to ramble at me about that.

ps (2). Good, then (I think it was through random interest-searching/friends-of-flist-perusing). Also, I doubt that it is any less interesting; I have a great admiration for translators (how would the fireworks of international fame come to writers, if not for them, huh). And not to worry, I will definitely ramble about films, music and film music in the future. :)
