"Those were the best days of my life."

I'm back! After staying for a week (ish) at [livejournal.com profile] queenspanky and going to Serenity Infinity. I love conventions, god. So hard. And Lizzie was wonderful and perfect and kept feeding me really good meals she insisted were really nothing (because she's English, it's what they do - not the good food, the understatement stuff) and I've mentioned her cat before, but he's really perfect.

I've come home to find that my English flatmate, due to a flood in his room, is now sleeping on the living room sofa. Which means that all that separates us when we're both home is the drapes dividing my room from the rest of the lounge. Oh yay.

Anyway! Convention news. I didn't take notes as I usually do because... well, just because. But! Things to remember. I danced to Don'tcha with Jubal Early! (No, I will never get tired of saying this. And then he gave me a great big hug.) Richard Brooks who can, in fact, sing. And has a cd out soon. Yay! He sang for us, while Crystal Nectar danced along to it. He can have a wicked sense of humour. Nectar partied like you wouldn't believe, and can also dance something wonderful. [livejournal.com profile] queenspanky and Jonny danced together like insanity, too, it was brilliant. Jonny was his usual self, and there was a communion with Neil and Nectar. Neil! Oh, my god, Neil Roberts. I want this man to say dirty things to me. He's just so wonderful and flirtatious and sexy and funny (and married).

So Alan and Morena have known each other since she was fourteen, because she was dating a guy that was in his class at Julliard. Also imagine this cast, in Joss' living room: Morena as Juliet, Neil Patrick Harris as Romeo, and Alan as Benvolio. I wish we knew the rest of the cast.

The parties were awesome, even though I think I injured something dancing that first night and then had to pick very carefully which songs I'd dance to, because oh, god, I hurt. I still do, although it's better now after a good night's sleep. There were awesome costumes, and convention songs aplenty, and old friends and new friends and yay all around! Great weekend. I'm all booked for Complete, too. (JAMIE BAMBER.)
