New layout

Yes, I'm going crazy while I can upload without tearing my hair out in frustration at Free (my host). And so, I have just changed layout for my LJ. Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] yodah who did the screencap used in the layout last night, out of the goodness of his heart. I love Shane and Mark, I think the writers are doing a great job with both their characters. The exact, complete quote is "You can do anything, you lucky bastard, you're alive! What's a little pain compared to that?"

I was about to say where it was from, but I wonder whether any of you will know. It's not too hard... if you've seen it. (Hint: it is absolutely not from the L-word.) The winner can request a drabble out of me.

I've also changed mood themes, replaced the old one by a Boy Meets Boy one.

Just a quick word to say that I've finally watched episode 11 of Doctor Who, and it rocks. Captain Jack is a wonderful addition to the crew of the Tardis, and you've got some priceless dialogue in there. Captain of the Innuendo Squad, indeed. (Such hard work...) I'm really quite amazed at the themes they tackle in this so-called children's show. If you'd told me, after I first watched Queer As Folk and saw Vince hooked up to Doctor Who, that I would one day become a fan... But I'm such a geek. The conclusion was foretold.

*bangs head against wall*

Can you believe that with, well, England and life, I got distracted to the point of forgetting about Cage Bird? So yeah, I just went and ordered it. I feel so angry at myself. *sigh*

So can you remind me after I read the book?

I can't believe myself. Seriously.

And I wish about Space Above and Beyond, but indeed, far too long since I saw it, and only in French anyway. But I loved him too.

I wish I had a "I hate myself" icon.

Well, it's ok, it's not as if I had hinted at it a few times until mid-march, yanno? Oh, wait... I did. And then I, like, made other hints at it recently in my LJ. Several times. I even spelled out the whole title in the comments. And that was all aimed at one person. :-P
I know, I know, I should have rather jumped in front of your window waving and holding a giant sign, but I couldn't find any black pen to draw the sign.... ;-P
Ordering it was a good idea. It's twice as expensive in the bookstores here. I know. I went there in a hurry on a sunday afternoon after having discovered it had been released. And I came back without the book.

Yeah. For a moment, I hesitated about asking a scene set after McQueen learning about the fate of his crew (and, well, this way, we would finally have gotten the answer too :-P) because that part would have been easier, but... No, even if I can't pinpoint it anymore (and I couldn't find any DVDs two weeks ago), there was definitely things to explore concerning his humanity.
Gah. I just loved McQueen.
