Though no one's gonna read this, I need to vent.

So I just read volumes 21 and 22. And yegads, the angst!! The confrontation between Griffith and Gatts - the drawings and the arrangements and the text and everything! Beautifully painful, that's what it was. Agonisingly artistic. Fan' = reeling from the angst, and loving it.

And then the battle against the Kusharn army? Epic moment. There are only three of them, indeed. Griffith = one of the best character arcs ever.

And then the whole story about Serpico and Farnese? Serpico I've loved for a while now, but reading this now? So very compelling, in a slightly horrifying manner. The sub/dom thing and them being half-siblings and the burning of the mother and him not liking fire and aah! there are no words for how much I love this manga!

Seriously. This is a masterpiece.

Sounds amazing, I will have to check it out when I have some time.

As often (or so I've been told), the anime is, imho, not as good as the manga, since they had to make it more politically correct and viewable by more people than it's readable by. But the anime hooked me up all the same, it's just that the story reaches its full potential in the manga, I find. Anyway, enough blabla, you can find English scans of the manga here (http://www.thehawks.org/). (And maybe the anime, too? Haven't gone through everything this wicked site offers yet.)

Hey, now I'm all glad I might have convinced someone to give it a try. Yay! The rambling will not have been in vain - and, well, to give myself the illusion to get things off my chest. Only the illusion, because I still had to force myself to stop reading for the rest of the day, because I think I need time to take things in and process them before I go on. This is affecting me entirely too much.
