Apparently there are talks of finishing the Carnivàle story in comic book form. (Go read about it here, scroll down to Something Wicked This Way Comes.) I'm not rightly sure how I feel about that, I suppose a lot would depend on the artist they choose, but I would definitely love to know the rest of the story. And then some. This is as compelling as it can get, folks, and if you haven't watched that show yet? Get to it. Now. Scoot!

Have been downloading very legal music like crazy, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] the_grynne pointing out this amazing website. Discovering small artists and wonderful sounds. Spread the word about this site, guys.

Also? I wanna be at the Big Damn Flanvention. Pretty please? Not only are all the BDH but Gina there, and Jonathan Woodward (Jonny! just look at him... and read him...), and incidentally Jason "Marcus Cole" Carter, but the twins have been announced. Yan and Rafael Feldman, that play Fanty and Mingo.

So, if there's some sort of super-entity that could arrange for me to attend, and with a Big Damn Pass at that? I'd be willing to enter into your cult for at least a few months. Seriously. You know you don't wanna pass up on an offer like this... Get in touch.

everyone a liar, and everything a lie
all of this will fall, fade away or burn
all of this will fall, nothing will return

I don't know what to think about Carnivale as a comic book. It could be great of course, because, i WANT a sequel of the show. Damn, leaving us with Sofie and her black eyes and JONESY! *dies*

Anyways (i've been passing through hard times when Carnivale ended, now i'm ok. Kind of.) i would have prefer just books, reading Carnivale stories must be pretty awesome, freaky but awesome! I'm not fond of the comic book idea, i mean as you said it depends on the artist they will hire and also i don't really like "realistic comic book", i way prefer guys with colored tight panties than can fly/kill with their eyes/passed through walls/steal other mutants' powers... etc ...

As much as i love comic books, i don't want a Carnivale one.

And can i come with you to the Big Damn Flanvention?

Oh yes. Novels would be the absolute best thing, short of HBO coming back on their decision and picking it up for more of the series. I want Carnivàle novels. Disturbingly good, they would be, just like the series.

Please do come with to the Flanvention. I'm sure we can soul our souls somewhere in exchange for Big Damn Passes and plane tickets. (We don't need hotel rooms, no, honey, we'll just bunk in with Alan. Well, I'll bunk in with Alan. You can bunk in with... Nathan? Would you like Nathan? Ah, hell, I'll bunk with any which one of them.)

Yes Carnivale novels would be the best, i'm gonna ask that for Christmas... Dear little buddha...?

Yeah yeah sure i can TOTALLY bunk in with Alan, or Nathan, or Sean, or Adam, or Gina- she won't be there, nevermind, Morena, Jewell, all of them, at the same time, all together if it's needed, like an big damn summer camp! ... Ok that's becoming weird.

I'll pray to our dear and fluffy lord, you take Buddha. I'll sacrifice a kiwi to Joss, too, and send a few prayers Drew's, David's and Tim's way (saints can grant prayers too, right?). Are you covering the old Roman and Greek gods? I'll take the Egyptians.

Weird, in a definitely would-love-to-be-there(-possibly-with-a-camera) sort of way. And you forgot Ron and Summer, and Jonathan and Yan and Rafael while we're at it. Wouldn't say no to Jason Carter either. Yum.

I don't know how well Carnivale is suited to comic form. A lot of the show was music and mood and atmosphere, not the sort of thing that translates to a graphic novel, and I feel like while a comic could get the story told, it wouldn't be very satisfying.

I know, I know. I have issues with the Firefly comics as it is, but Carnivàle? Would likely be far worse. That said, if it's the only way to get the story told? I'd rather have that than nothing, unsatisfying though it might be.

Was there ever a soundtrack for that show? I should look around. Hmm.

There is a soundtrack, and it's very good. Definitely recommended.
