Yes. You are so right. I've read those same interviews and thought the same sorts of things. [You articulated it so well though. =p ] Man, this guy is good at what he does. It's great that he has such a good time. That he even made up a backstory for Steve The Pirate. That he got so into Wash that in interviews about that role, he says 'I' instead of 'he'.
He's just... I mean, you have some actors that ramble on about their Craft or whatever and just seem snobby or fake. And you have some actors that just show up, do their thing, go home. But I love that Alan is the way he is, and that he gets real joy out of it.
