So. Lively day today.

I get woken up by Joey brandishing an envelope under my nose. "Can you open it 'cause it's addressed to you but I think it's from England and it's the con tickets?" Indeed, people. We have our Serenity Cubed tickets! 137, 138, and 139 are us. Into the meet-and-greet. Feel free to celebrate! And burn a candle, say a little prayer, for either Nathan, Alan, Jonny or Chris to make it to that con. Otherwise I will be Very Put Out. (In semi-related news, Jewel updated her blog, and I want to be her best friend. Possibly Joey is planning to stalk her when she gets to Vancouver.)

Then started the long fight against the Evil Tap From Hell. Which was dripping, and needed to be changed, and tough plastic bits had to be sawed off with a kitchen knife. Let me tell you how much fun that was, not.

Then I hoped that we might lose at football, and lo and behold, [livejournal.com profile] rwrockdj! It worked, and we won. I'm fucking ecstatic. Note the sarcasm. I did not want to have to go through one more game. I'm so rooting for Italy, if only on principle. ...I think I was rooting for Brazil in '98. I should probably start rooting for France right now, but I just can't. It's beyond me. There were loud cheers and horns and cries and all the rest of it in the neighbourhood. It was echoing the telly all the time. Seriously. I, on the other hand, ended up yelling at the Portuguese that they could've tried a little harder, even though I hadn't watched the game.

So, the Evil Tap From Hell was finally replaced, and I put my hands down some seriously disgusting pipes (and I mean seriously disgusting) to connect it all back up, and I turned it on to wash my hands and, wait for it. The love of my life, sun of my days, moon of my nights, the sugar in my morning coffee and the curry in my chicken, the lime to go with my tequila, the tide to my sea and the polish to my nails, had actually hooked up cold with hot and hot with cold and it's all backwards. We've got a brilliant tap which is going to keep surprising people. And by surprising I mean burning them when they were expecting cold water and get scalding hot instead.

Possibly I'm making her change those around tomorrow.

Heh, I thought of you when the final whistle went. ;)

But now we need Italy to win the whole thing. But since that's what you want too, your magic anti-power probably won't work so well... Hmm.

OMIGODREALLY*FLAILS*?

Ahem.

If we get Adam back, I might just support France. Just for you. How fucked up is it that I'm doing this for a Republican? You're making me deny everything I believe in!

Yay! You got into the meet and greet! I don't think I will, but I shall definitely eee you there :) Will be fantastic. And there's one more guest to be announced according to the website, and there's always the notion of a surprise guest - after 3 surprise guests at Not Fade Away I've been spoiled!

"I did not want to have to go through one more game"

Well.... Unless the world had come to an end before next saturday, that would have been impossible since there's another match on july 8 for those who didn't win the last game. (granted, there would have been a tad less noise outside)

Well, at least now there's one more day for such an even to happen. That SO broaden the likelyness of it all! ;-)

Lol. I know it wasn't funny, but the whole Evil Tap From Hell thing made me laugh. Especially the "love of my life etc..." part. [livejournal.com profile] greenie_breizh you rock ! :p

yes, I'm a heartless b**ch. Ahem.
And yay!! S3! I can't wait. Actually, I went to the Forbidden Planet today and they had flyers for S3. In Cardiff. Big damn advertising I'd say. Made me smile though.

On a vaguely related note, I posted some Con' and BP music on my lj. Cos I'm sad. In case you want to be sad with me ;-)

...I'll do my very best to be supportive of France. Maybe. I need to find myself a good brainwasher program or something.

And I appreciate the thought! :p

What number are you at? Anyway, if I don't see you I might just throw a tantrum. Except not, because I'm a grown-up and I've been told that grown-ups don't do these things anymore, but I'll be very, very, very annoyed. Because clearly we NEED to meet. *nodsnods* And yes, I know, not just for NFA, but just the first Serenity, which was my first con ever, god, the number of guests and the total coolness of the guests I want more! Has Sean said anything about when he might announce said guest?

And can you imagine how disappointed we'll be if there is no surprise guests? Ack.

Why aren't you coming, anyway? Can't get out of work? Sucks, anyway, you totally should be there. We'll bring back lots of anecdotes and stuff, promise. Mwah!

That... is very true, and I hadn't thought of it because I do not want to care about football. Except now, just like in '98, I care, ish, because I don't want us to win. Out of spite, yes. Purely out of spite.

Well, in '98 I did watch the final, with sis, partly because of Bicente. I was crushing, yes, so what. This time, though? This time I've had to suffer through games because Joey's decided to turn alpha-straight-male on me and watch them, and I will be doing my best to ignore that game (but not the score) as I did for the others. Hmpf.

Yes, football makes me grumpy. *sheepish shrug*

S3ICAN'TWAIT! And we're in the meet n greet, darling, we're in! I cannot wait! ...think I should stop by Album see if they have flyers too? Heh.

I'm rushing over to be sad with you! (Do you know that I still dance the Doctor Who dance, in the flat, once in a while? Sad is me.)

Well, *I* do care, but it's a rather weird World Cup for me, because it's the only one since 1990 from which I didn't see a single game. I happened to be eating outside whenever France played. It's hard to care AND not being watching it when you have to try what's going on from the yelling outside. Then you do fully realise there's WAY too much yelling for not-important things.
I'm kinda hoping I will manage to at least watch sunday's game. That is, if I don't get invited to a dinner. Why did I suddenly lost hope?

Anyway... Does she make you watch it? And where did she found those ropes to tie you on the couch? ^_^
Otherwise... Well, why not read a bood instead? ;-) Lately I decided that after all these years of seeing Warchild compared to Card's Ender's game, it was time to read it. And I did like it, as I liked the second book of the serie (there's four of them, am currently reading #3). which is actually quite different.

We should exchange places. I go to your dinner, you come here.

It's just that the connection's in the same room as the telly, and I'm usually doing stuff online, so... well, she doesn't force me to watch Clockwork Orange style, but, you know.

And I really want to read those books. Guy adores the Fireflyverse! I need to. Too many people have recced him. I also need to reread the Lowachee books because it's been too long since I last did.

Believe me there will be stomping of feet in a real tantrum-way.

Don't get me started on the awesomeness of the first Serenity con. I cannot wait until S3...I probably won't get into the meet and greet but I'll be lurking in the bar, no worries.

Sean's announcing a guest for Decalogy tonight but he's a bit down after Rose McGowan's cancelled next weekend :( I'm sure S3 guests will be in the pipeline :)
