I've only watched the first thirty seconds of Poirot's Cards on the Table episode, and I'm already 1) bored (I grew out of liking Poirot when I was in junior high), and 2) squeeing over Alexander Siddig and he hasn't even spoken yet. (Why else would I go through Poirot than somebody playing in it.)

...and now he's spoken and I'm even more squeeful.

Just the way he moves. The way he looks at things, and people. He's so delightfully ambiguous already.

I desperately want to watch DS9 all over again. The other day somebody on the flist mentioned Julian and Miles' "But I like you better" scene and it was so clear in my mind and I do love them so and I miss DS9 liek whoa.

WAIT NO HE CAN'T BE.

Edit: each time they say his name (Mr. Shaitana) I hear "Sheitan." It's pretty disturbing. Also, he fascinates me. In case it wasn't clear already.

eeee! Alexander Siddig. I'll never forget that moment in the theater while watching Kingdom of Heaven when I realized he was in it. I'm pretty sure I did a genuine cartoon big-eye take. :D

Fan? Him very very pretty.

I like to define him as an Arabic-looking Paul Bettany, ever since I've noticed how amazing he looks in well-cut suits, on top of his acting skills and the way he always makes me adore/empathise with him so brilliantly. He was a thing of beauty in Syriana, too - have you seen it?

And yes, I remember how defining his part was in making me decide that yes, I was going to give KoH a chance. Good thing I did, too, if only for that cast.

Then they go and KILL him in the first fifteen minutes, and I thought I wouldn't recover. But at least his storyline was interesting. Shaitana is certainly a "character".

"I desperately want to watch DS9 all over again."

There's a very simple way to take care of such a need....
