Tarakeezer cooked up this great idea, so here goes: Saturday, April 24 will be the "Internation Hug Your Favourite Fan Fiction Authors" day. So if you never let the authors you enjoy so much know that you do enjoy their work a whole heck of a lot, this Saturday is the best day to do so! Of course, if you just wanna repeat to the authors you love that you're a big fan, feel free!
A short e-mail could do the trick. Even just a few words, or a list of the stories you liked most, or if you feel up to it, the reasons behind your liking them. Just let your favourite authors know their work is not unappreciated, far from it!
Take it from an author, there is never enough feedback. There is a big shortage of feedback, unless you're lucky enough to post in such a lively place as, say, Twisting the Hellmouth. But even then, you truthfully never can get enough feedback. Really.
Now I'll come off as a junkie craving for her fix of feedback. I guess I kinda am. Except I don't get trembling hands or gut-wrenching pain and I would NOT do anything for feedback. Huh. So maybe not a junkie after all, eh?
