Jun. 22nd, 2004 06:54 amLatest grades updates: 12 in literature, written exam - blah, one of the few I was actually prepared for, looks like not that much after all. 15.83 as my combined grade for oral comprehension, theme and version, and 15 for my presentation. So overall, pretty good! I'm only missing the two grades I'm most afraid of now.
Anyway, the fĂȘte de la musique was great last night. We found a few quite good bands, and then I saw berimbaus coming our way and Jo and I stuck with the roda for the whole duration of it. So good to see capoeira live again. Those guys were pretty good, too, they sure knew each other very well and played quite well together. Made me go all wishful thinking and nostalgic. And realistic about how much we sucked back then, too, when we were only starting - we had no clue what capoeira really was. But hey, we were only starting and we were full of good will. Joss, those were the days...
Anyhoot - what am I doing up so bloody early? We're leaving for Besançon for a couple of days, for meetings about being an assistant next year. Then it will be time for the performances, Wednesday and Thursday nights (with the disaster this play is shaping up to be, I'm really glad I finally listened to reason and quit on playing Blanche), then on Friday we're back in Reims, wedding on Saturday (no, not ours), and Sunday coming back here with the parents to move out. All in all, I won't be on the net much (or at all) for the remainder of the week.
Damn. Didn't have time to read
cgwriting's latest chapter of Last of the Edhel before I went.
