Just back from clubbing, yay! Been too long since I'd danced like that. Pretty good club, though it was listed as gay and ultimately really isn't... just gay-friendly, I suppose, but there were many many many straight couples. Not that I mind, it just gets confusing. Good thing neither [livejournal.com profile] greenie_breizh nor I were on the prawl! You wouldn't know who to hit on.

That being said, you guys, I can't wait for August to dance with you all! Especially to Hold that sucker down - while the songs were quite good for a club (there was even a retro moment with Grease, Pulp Fiction, Claude François, the Village People and Aretha Franklin, among others), there was a distinct lack of Hold that sucker down. Me, obsessed with that song? Nah. I never get obsessed.

I'm developping a major crush on Melissa George, aka Lauren in Alias (check out the icon). She has an amazing amount of charm, that she does. Incredibly beautiful, too. According to [livejournal.com profile] twixou who's just back from a con, Melissa is absolutely amazing, nice, charming, and everybody at the con fell in love with her.

Went and saw Fahrenheit 9/11 with [livejournal.com profile] greenie_breizh and her folks. I was quite shaken. No moment of the film itself got to me as much as moments of Bowling for Columbine had, but they still got to me a lot. It also seemed like Mike was making less of a show of himself, which was good imho. The sorrow of Lila, a woman who lost her son in Iraq, was hard to watch, all the more so that I still feel so very voyeuristic watching such grief. The content of the film was scary. People, please do vote that guy the hell out of office!
But what really shook me was right as we were walking out of the theatre, there was this couple at the back of the room, still seated. The girl was cuddled against her (boy?)friend's chest, crying. It made the whole thing more real. That sent me spiralling down into some good ol' angst.

Really, people, go see the movie.
