I think god is trying to send us a message. Or possibly Steve Carrell. About changing our flat into an ark? Noah style?

The first portent was the apparition of our late night visitor, Brownie the mouse. Followed by her stubborn refusal to care about the humane traps we set, or the poison we bought it.

The second portent was the reapparition of last summer's leak, a clear foresign of the deluge to come.

And now, the third portent, is that a tiny little birdie just flew into our flat. It was absolutely not scared of us, either, or didn't seem like it anyway. It certainly didn't want to go back outside, and let us caught it, and was very happy flying onto us and hopping over our shoulders. We released it in the garden and are now wishing it a long, happy life.

Now if some superior power isn't trying to get us to build an ark, I don't know what's going on.

In other news, Die Hard 4 was everything you might expect from a Die Hard movie. Meh. Even Timothy Oliphant wasn't as good as I hoped for, although expecting him to be as good as in Deadwood is like expecting Nick Stahl to be as good in T3 as in Carnivàle. I should stop getting my hopes up like that. And I wonder which movie has set up the Parkour trend, but I (and the bouncy one in my head) am not going to complain. Woot for freerunning random bad guys!

I'm watching Meadowlands and Jekyll and BSG these days, although I have to say that Meadowlands takes a backseat compared to the other two. Stephen Moffat is so. much. love, seriously, is he ever going to write something I don't like? And BSG is just. Yeah. BSG. I love it so, so hard. Especially Starbuck and Gaius and Apollo and Callum (does he have a number too? did I miss that? he's just gonna keep being Callum for the moment), but all the rest of them too.
