I know Nancy ! Remember, I was born in Metz. I like town in the east of France (north east). Nancy is not bad. But I can't really say, last time I went there I was probably...14 years old... ;)
And I like Reims ! Well, of course Paris will always be my favorite town, but Reims is my second. When you're surrounded by almost 3000 students from the business school, Reims doesn't look that "dead" ! :)
