Ooooh. Now I see what you mean about Pirates. ...there is a tremendous lack of death in there. I hadn't even realised I enjoyed myself so! I don't know why it struck me so much more in Narnia than in Pirates - likely because people (as in, living people) weren't actually brought back, I suppose? I don't know.
Probably because I didn't expect the same things from Pirates as I did from Narnia. Pirates I only ever viewed as a Disney movie, much as it is an amazing one (imho). Narnia... I expected more of a true epic out of it, I suppose. Instead of a fairy tale. And that is likely why the movie didn't completely sit right with me. Hmm.
