Which leads me to ask a few questions. First and foremost, what the hell was iTunes on when it picked those songs? But also: who put a Linkin Park CD on my iTunes? ([livejournal.com profile] pee_wai? Though I can't fathom why you'd do that.) And, also, where can I get the same crack that iTunes was on? Seriously.

Also. Because this is related to music, yes. I'd say "vaguely", but that would be meaner than what I actually think. How many people on my flist are into Darren Hayes exactly? Because he's creeping up all over the bleedin' place, to the point, B, where my own sister asked if she was the one that had given me Insatiable. I'm at this stage where I almost want to surrender and say "I give up, I don't care, I won't say a word against him again if you'll all just please stop."

I mean, it's not like he's as bad as Seal.

I think I'm gonna go listen to SG's Hold Me now. Because that one has actually really grown on me. *facepalm*

Look, the man's a pop star for a reason. He didn't get there by writing songs that aren't insipidly catchy. I'm certainly not going to say he's an excellent musician or lyricist by any stretch of imagination, but the fact is, it gets in your head. It really does.

...as I pull out my iPod for the original Savage Garden album. Yeah. *g*

It's just insanely amusing - emphasis on insanely - that I'd barely ever heard of him (well, yeah, pop and me? we don't really mix, most of the time) and all of a sudden everybody's mentioning him.

You know, one of these days I'll actually download that album. Then I will be truly doomed. And have you to thank blame for it. *nodsnods*

I wonder if I kept that video somewhere.

He's like a virus. A music virus. Heh. And I've got it all uploaded if you want it. Not really the sort of thing I feel like giving my hard earned cash for. (Though I did buy his first solo album. Discount bin. Good stuff.)

You did mean Darren's, right? Anyway, I just asked Brix *points to above comments* and she can give you it, just send her an e-mail (shadesofbrixton at livejournal dot com) and tell her you're that friend of mine I told her about, and you guys can figure out how to get it from her to you. Much love!

I'm joining Alexia on that, to show solidarity and because we spent so many good times thanks to him.
But I don't understand where you hear so much about him, 'cause here I can't hear nothing. I mean except from Alexia telling me about the concert and all. :)

Well Brix started telling me about SG, which I knew, and the fact that he sang on after SG, which I did not. And then some other friend of mine asked me if this icon here was an SG icon, which it is, and then Alexia mentioned Darren in her post, to which I commented about Darren, to which my sister replied with "aaaah you know him", so I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.

So it's like when you learn a new word and then you hear it everywhere, except it's not a word.

this icon here was an SG icon
Is it ?! I don't remember the photo it's from. Maybe I should go and get my SG CDs !

How many people on my flist are into Darren Hayes exactly?

*raises hand* I can't exactly deny it, even if I feel slightly cringy in admitting it.

From: [identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com
Oh, do not cringe. Stand proud in your love for Darren! That's what people should do everywhere for the things they love. I just, you know, won't personally be doing it for good ol' Darren.

Heh. Very appropriate icon.

If I can help, I don't know who Darren Hayes is! ^^

And I certainly did not put Linkin Park on you iTunes and I'm sorry that you think I would such a thing! ^^

Thank you! *tackleclings* *whispers* I think he's stalking me everywhere I comment on. You're a safe haven, I'll remember that.

Well I don't know why! But. I'm just. How did it come to be on my computer?

I don't know, maybe your sister. Maybe the spirit of "crap music all around the world" who is also putting Darren Hayes everywhere to annoy you :D

Oi, I like some Linkin Park. ...some. Darren Hayes and Linkin Park cannot even be put together in the same sentence, they're so different.

No it's not me ! I don't even have any of their albums..but still I quite like what I've heard of them..

I have to show you THE video I got with the CD Alexia brought me from Australia. It's a best of Savage Garden and I'm sure you know Darren. And the video is just to good. Darren is so gay

...and Daniel isn't? *pouts*
Which video is it?

Not sure I love this icon, however.
Actually, Darren is not gay. He's been married and all, but their fans used to think they were. And I don't remember if Daniel really is gay or not. See, you're starting to be interested in Savage Garden and all ! ;)

Oh, the video. It's in their best of, there are lives and interviews if I remember well. Are you interested ?

From: [identity profile] fan-elune.livejournal.com
Oh, darling, if the gay was enough to get me interested in them... I read SG RPS fic a whiiiile ago. Before I even knew Darren had gone on on a solo career.

...but okay, I kinda am interested in that vid, just for the pretty. Because they're very, very pretty.

Heh. SG is much more enjoyable than Darren, imho. Which doesn't mean much. But, you know, to each their own.

I used to love Savage Garden in 1998 and years after, but since I heard Darren's song and listened again to their old songs, I have to admit I love his songs more than the band's songs. Even if he is the kind of singer we don't like to admit we appreciate.
