Grmpf. Friendlist, I need Angel fic. As in X-Men's Warren Worthington III. Not AtS. Not Rent. Though I wouldn't say no to either, but. Not the point. The point is, when you have a character like Angel? You make something out of him.

Which can be said of almost all characters in X3, which is very sad. Why did we not get any interesting, developped, well-written character arcs? I want those characters developped and well written for, damnit. (Not Magneto, though, because Sir Ian's talent will always make everything alright, and not Kitty, because she should simply be slapped repeatedly or played by Summer.)

I honestly don't mind the plot holes all that much. I simply wish the characterisation were better. They destroyed, sometimes more literally than others, characters I loved. And there was no true driving force to the movie. A let-down after the other first two.

So, people. Please. Will someone link me to Angel fic? Or even write me some. Het, gen, slash, anything. I need for this character to be developped. Please.

Also, the Doctor's ego is a thing of - beauty, almost. Like his hairdo. But I do think this was the weakest episode so far. Despite the hairdo. And the kid that kept making me think of a young Josh Charles. (Also, was there no Torchwood reference? Right when I thought the plot was perfect for some TW action, by opposition to TW teasing.)

Edit: Two things I forgot. First, any ficcing about the Beast will totally be welcome too. Oh Hank how much I love you. And second - will some kind soul please tell me what the hell we missed by not staying until the end of the credits? (What? Nobody told us, and hell, I didn't want to hang out. I wanted to rant at Joey about how much they'd screwed up these characters I loved.)

There was a Torchwood reference, but it's hard to hear, because the dialogue is fading out as the Doctor gazes in growing horror at Faceless Rose. Bishop says something like "Torchwood will be on our backs make no mistake".

The hair was... erm... well, I had been prepared! But somehow I never expected the Doctor to look like that! (I'm somewhere between "squee!" and "wtf!") And yes, the Doctor's ego could practically have its own TV show except it already does. ;)

Tommy was fab. I hated the ending ("He's still your dad"? Yuk!) and the villain was really badly explained - she's a what, now? - and basically just the Gelth gone electric. It had some great moments, it was spooky as, and it at least had a bit more soul than The Unquiet Dead, which is my least favourite of S1, but, er, still. Could have done with: the Doctor and Rose being less annoying (or there being more of a point to it), the Connellys stuff being... just... better done... or left out... and there being a bit more explanation of what exactly Maureen Lipman was up to and why she had picked Earth in 1953. Also, what she actually was before she was executed.

But for all that I actually enjoyed it more than RotC/AoS, which was a bit grim.

Oh! I was annoyed at not being able to hear what they were saying. Thank you!

Oh, god, I LOVE the hair. The hair is brilliant. The hair deserves its own show! I was almost disappointed to see him back to his regular hair in next week's preview. (Although any sort of disappointment disappeared when I saw - ROCCO!!! Ahem.)

Oh, god, yes, the whole Connelly stuff was so badly handled, only Tommy was worth it. I only watched The Unquiet Dead once, but I remember liking it a whole deal more than this. And god, they were back on crack, weren't they.

You know, I actually enjoyed those Cybermen episodes a great deal. Despite Rose. What didn't you like about them?

I love teh Rocco! I squeed! Rocco!!!

Connelly = bleh. And yes, they were. On crack! *le sigh* Whatever it is can they stop taking it, or have a fight, or SOMETHING? (By the way, one of my best moments? "Was that an insult?" And the Doctor just... makes an expression, like it's *nearly* a smirk, and takes off on the scooter... Priceless.)

I quite enjoyed the Cybermen episodes in their own way but they felt a bit old-school, in a not-so-good, hastily-tagged-on-emotional-backstory way (Mickey, Mrs Moore and the Cyberman who was getting married), and a bit flat. I loved the scenes with the Doctor and Mrs Moore and the climax was worth the ride ("...even an idiot..." and the Doctor defending, not kittens and sunsets like Five would have, girly-Doc that he was!, but pain and grief and rage and suffering). But somehow? Didn't quite gel for me. Not quite sure exactly why.

Rocco makes me look forward to next episode more than anything else in that preview. Heeee!

Oh, I LOVED that bit. That and the LICKING. This Doctor has some of Jayne inside him, and isn't that a disturbing thought. Heh.

Oh, I loved the Mickey stuff. But then again, I'm one of the few that actually like Mickey. Especially in all his newly-slashy glory, but not only. Rose felt more like hastily-tagged-on-emo-backstory than any of the rest of it. God, how much she annoyed me in those two eps. Grah.

Glad you made it home safely and that the weekend was good. =D Oh wait. This is the X-Men post and not the trip post, isn't it. Haven't seen it yet, since I keep hearing awfulawful things about it, so I should stop spamming. Anyways. Hi!

And also? Mmmicon.

Hi! And yes, good weekend, despite the fact that I played more basketball than I danced, and that has to mean that something is terribly, terribly wrong with the universe.

Not that we didn't already know that.

Mmmicon? You mean somebody-not-me likes Scott? Especially with the scruff? And here I thought I was alone.

Also, yeah, maybe not "awfulawful", but definitely not goodgood.

Hee!)

"And second - will some kind soul please tell me what the hell we missed by not staying until the end of the credits?"

I very very very quickly scanned the comments, and I don't think I saw it.

So, here it is:
You first get to see that brainless man (hopefully the subtitles were wrong and he does have a guess, just no brain activité) that Charles had shown to the kids during a class. The nurse enter, and checks the vitals. At that point, the scene is shot from the other side of the bed (aka lying body, probably a bit blurred, and then nurse&medical devices). Suddenly, you see the man's head turning softly toward the nurse. And he says hello to her, with a well-known voice.
She is totally startled (can't blame her), but after a few seconds says "Charles?"

Tried to comment to this the other day, but my sidekick won't allow your page to load *tear*.

If you find Angel fic, TELL ME!!!! *shakes you* I've been looking everywhere for Angel slash... XD I've found a lot of Piotr, Bobby, John, Scott, Logan, etc. slash. BUT NO ANGEL. And Ben Foster is so fucking hot, too.

And if you go to my LJ I have a link to what happened after the credits if you haven't seen.

Your sidekick? That your computer? Heh.

I will tell you if I find any, but clearly the flist cares not. Grmpf. Or we can just write our own.

I mean, even if it's not slash! I'll take het or gen, as long as it's Angel and it's good! Grmpf again.

I saw! But when I clicked it had already been removed from YouTube. :( Thanks anyway!
