- That subject line? Is the only line of Spanish I understood throughout the whole of Dexter. Did the Spanish actually have no subtitles on TV? Because if so, brilliant, and worthy of the Chinese in Firefly. If not and I was supposed to know everything they were saying... I hope I didn't miss too much.
- I love Angel.
- I'm glad they already stated that it was Rudy, it would have been a very bad play to keep it from us when it was so obvious.
- I'm also glad we know it's Rudy because that gives us so much more suspense (and suspense is far better than surprise) and great character build-up.
- Are all super sociopaths sexy? How can I ship them without wanting them to get naked and sweaty together? I think their mental instabilities are contaminating my usual desire to want to see hot guys get it on.
- It's odd. It's not that sort of a ship. It's a ship in the sense that I do not want a showdown between Dexter and Rudy. I want them to keep playing with each other. I do not want to lose either of them come season finale.
- Rudy, I love you, but please do not kill Angel.
- "My friend was stabbed. And he might die." Oh, Masuka. Between the usual kink talk and now this? I officially love you.
- I love the recurring "disturbed" theme of that show. Does anyone have the score? It's that little melody that could be called almost childlike but is in fact quite disturbing. It's brilliant.
- I wish they had the guts to kill Deb. I love her, but I wish they had the guts to kill her.
- Why am I not surprised that I am shipping brothers again.
- OH GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW. As in: it makes sense that they didn't kill Deb. As in: oh god, that final kill. As in: I even like Maria by now.
To sum it up: if you haven't seen this show yet, get it, watch it, be disturbed, love it.

Date: 2007-01-21 04:35 am (UTC)I LOVE Rudy and Dexter's relationship, but I would never want to read smut. Because sex really isn't part of relationships to Dexter. He dreads it and tries to avoid it all costs.
I'm actually reading the book now, and in some ways I like it even more than the show. Possibly the fact that it's 100% from Dexter's POV and a lot of the extraneous storylines that kind of bored me aren't in it.
In short: YAY more Dexter fans! He totally should've won the Golden Globe. Pssh.

Date: 2007-01-21 01:18 pm (UTC)You know, I can't recall one extraneous storyline I really was bored with. However, that is one book I'd love to read. All Dexter all the time.
Ah, but Laurie's Laurie and even though I don't watch House I'm sure he deserved it because he just rocks. I'm hoping Michael'll win it next year, anyway.
I'M BEING OPPRESSED BY CUBAN-AMERICANS.*

I'm just a little suspicious for the next but the final kills you're right!

Date: 2007-01-21 05:41 pm (UTC)I LOVED THAT SHOW. The finale sealed my love for it. I didn't want either one to die. :[ Also, it disturbed me how much hotter Rudy got after I found out he was the killer. Ahahaha. :[
There were no subtitles, no, because it's set in Miami, ahaha, where everyone just assumes everyone knows Spanish. Seriously, oh my god. I had my friends who do know Spanish translate the Spanish for me because, despite living there, I still know no Spanish. That was another thing that made me happy about the show. I could recognize a lot of the locations and I could tell that it was ACTUALLY filmed in Miami, as opposed to Nip/Tuck which films in LA -- and if you've ever been to Miami or even Florida in general, you realize that it could never, ever have been filmed anywhere near the state.

Date: 2007-01-21 08:09 pm (UTC)Oh, god, I kept making screen caps. I don't know if it's actually going to bring my icon muse back, but it's sure trying to. I checked him out on IMDb and he plays Henry Wotton in a recent adaptation of Dorian Gray which I now really want to see even if it sucks, only because... him as Henry Wotton? Oh god yes please.
That is brilliant. MAN I LOVE THIS SHOW. I also finally finished S5 of SFU and god, it was so fucking excellent. I can't believe they did five seasons of such quality. *loves*
