fan_eluneWell, haven't been up to much lately, or much writing in any case. Have watched a few movies - went to see Spidey 2, was mucho disappointed. This film is bo-ring... badly written, the acting wasn't anything special (I love those actors! What happened to you, people?). Big problem of rhythm, and *originality*. A non-copy of the first one would have been good.
Just watched myself a very good film though, One Hour Photo, in which Robin Williams portrays a very, very sick man. And not in the physically sick sense. The guy was downright creepy. Robin Williams should play such partsmore often. Also with "the Vartan" (wrinkle-less, it *is* a Vaughn thing), and the big surprise, Erin Daniels! (Yes, Jo! And muuuuch better-looking than usual with long, wavy red hair. *Hot*. That's how Shane should have done her hair.) The film itself is quite, quite good. Really. Do check it out, people.
Also went on a Paul Bettany rampage. Rewatched Master and Commander, and then A Knight's Tale. M&C is quite an entertaining movie; actually I liked it much better than the first time I watched it, probably because I knew exactly what to expect and could consequently enjoy the most out of it. Good thing Paul makes up for Billy Boyd being so little in the movie.
As for A Knight's Tale - Jo, did you know we'd missed such a huge chunk of it? I thought we'd missed, like, 30 minutes, but ooooh no. Alan Tudyk is very much Wash in there, only more with a temper. *snigger* Love the guy. Heath Ledger still has that voice that makes me go 'brrr' (in the good way), and Paul Bettany is as amazing as ever. Seriously. I love him, and admire him. (The commentary is by him and the director, I can't wait!) He is a great actor. And, also, the ladies are quite pleasant to the eye, which doesn't hurt anything. Love the different styles they give to Jocelyne, it works really well. And ha! Bad!Guy is Fortinbras from Brannagh's Hamlet! As for the movie itself, well... it's fun. Probably wouldn't be half as much fun if I didn't have a thing for most of the actors, true, but still. Much fun.
Will be gone this next couple of days. Uncle getting married. Hopefully there will be much partying. Yay!
