So we've known for a little over a week now I think, Alan Tudyk's gonna be on Dollhouse.

I learned that after having watched the pilot, which was alright but not OMGLOVETHISSHOWNEEDMOREHEEE the way Firefly had been. I heard the news and was pretty happy that Alan was going to work with Joss again (and Olivia! says the AKT fangirl in me), but that was it.

This afternoon I watched the second episode, and got totally hooked to the Alpha storyline. Not even for one second thinking of what it might mean. Not for one frakking second. I complained about Marc Sheppard's role being nothing special (though I trust him and Joss to make it special, eventually). I totally loved Amy Acker and Tall!Dude. (I'm gonna start remembering names soon, I swear.) And I really, really enjoyed the Alpha storyline and went "yeah, Alpha is what is going to take this show somewhere, bring it together and take it further".

And now I learn that ALAN IS PLAYING ALPHA OH MY GOD. I am so frakking psyched about this, seriously. I love Alan when he's goofy but I know exactly how good he is and - you guys seen his CSI episode? He was creepy as all hell! He doesn't have to be goofy to be good. And for him to play someone as obviously twisted and fractured as Alpha? I AM IN HEAVEN. JOSS I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU FOR NOT TYPECASTING HIM.

PS: he is so pretty enough to be an active.

Right now, I'm sort of freakishly devoured with the craving to see him act the hell out of this part. Honestly. I will make so many icons. It's the part I've always wanted to see him play!

...I'm possibly far too excited about this. I hadn't had Alan play a role I really wanted to see him in in far too long.

lol, well DirectTV was with Dule Hill! That sort of makes up for it. (In my head Alan has to kind of totally love Aaron Sorkin. Or at least the West Wing.) Anywayz! Yes to the mostly naked. I've been obsessively rewatching the end scene of the pilot but I cannot for the sake of me recognise him. They might have used a body double so as not to blow the big surprise. Or it's just that well shot. Either way! So very ecstatic.

But really, even if he is an always-clothed psycho I'll be happy. Yesyesyes.

I am SO BLOWN AWAY, seriously. It was up on Whedonesque. It seems almost too good to be true and I swear if this is misinformation I will hunt Joss down and... do something really evil. Like, I dunno, make him sign my Firefy stuff THAT IS NOT THE POINT. Alan needs to be Alpha now.

I felt like the first episode was a bit of a dud, but the second was much more interesting, and I was starting to get into it, BUT DUDE IF ALAN IS ALPHA THERE IS NO WAY TO NOT FALL IN LOVE.

I know, right? My thoughts exactly and they do not realise how much trouble they're in if he does not turn out to be Alpha. My worst fear: he'd be the new, um, is he called Topher? Programming guy. Or his big brother or something. WE'VE ALREADY SEEN THAT. We want Alan as Alpha omg liek burning or something.

Even in the first episode I was intrigued by the Alpha story. When I heard it might be Alan, I paid attention in the 2d ep, but obviously he's not playing Alpha yet. Can't wait!

Well, yes, I know, but it's what Whedonesque did so I figured what the heck. It didn't say WHO Alan played! Which is the main thing. I don't usually read spoilers but when I read the Alan tag and the Alpha header in Whedonesque? I couldn't help myself. I had to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

His CSI part was creeptastic. That man. What he can act. Oh I heart him.
