Spoilers for Glee 3x11

I am sort of floored by how much I enjoyed this episode. What the frak, Glee? When did you remember how to make good television?

I mean, seriously. The script was tight, the evil weasel finally acted evil, he had a sing-off with Santana (she so owned his ass), okay there was boring Rachel and Finn thing but I expected that, Harry Shum Jr looks fantastic in eyeliner, Brit-Brit doesn't know how to lock a door, Artie gave a hell of a good speech (not because I necessarily agree, but because it was so real), Burt was his usual amazing self, and I only just realised that Sue wasn't even in it.

Not to mention that I was expecting the worst when I realised it was a Michael ep. I'm no big fan of his? I quite like to dance to his songs, but that's about it, and Glee's track record with episodes dedicated to one artist... Well, I'm still reeling from Britney. But it was good, and made me want to dance, and the plot actually moved forward.

It didn't make me feel to the degree that Asian F did (although Burt made me feel a lot all the same, as usual, kudos dude), but it was still an amazingly good episode, given what I usually expect from Glee.

Fewer like the Christmas special, more like this, plz.

I think it's the first time they've done tribute ep and it was tied into the plot and not just a flop all about featuring songs by 'x' artist.

Exactly! The tribute aspect still kinda annoyed me - I was so glad that Rachel wasn't head over heels about MJ the way everybody else was. But you know, they made a good episode out of it, so. :)

Oh, sadness, I hopped in the shower during the epi and missed anything with Burt being awesome. I pretty much caught the first 15 and then the end. You are so gonna be my gauge for whether it's safe to watch episodes going forward. ;-) I'm a wee bit afraid of the quality, and just want Matt Bomer already.

Though Ricky martin's sheer existence this upcoming week cracks me up

lol, well, viewer's reaction on the whole was a good one on this one! Well, from what I heard from friends. So it's not just me! Whenever there is Burt, there is awesome - it was when Kurt got his "you're a finalist" NYADA letter, Burt was like welling up and so PROUD of his son and it was just such a perfect Burt moment, with Burt all excited and Kurt being all "your heart!" and Burt being all "who cares!"

...I didn't know Ricky Martin was upcoming. Let's just hope it won't be another Britney-like appearance, but an actual fun thing! Because it has such crackworthy potential.

OH KURT DID GET ONE. Hah. Sorry I missed that part, as I saw Rachel get her letter and was all: BUT KURT!

Next week Ricky Martin stars in the episode as the new Spanish teacher and will be in multiple song and dance numbers, and a fully fleshed character. The previews make me think this is gonna be CRACK.

Oh, yeah, the whole thing was Kurt got his before Rachel did so Rachel completely freaked the fuck out, was convinced she wasn't a finalist, thought she had no future, and so accepted Finn's proposal.

I hope it's GOOD crack, because Britney was bad crack. Not just her appearance but the episode as a whole. How could they screw up an episode on my Brit Brit? And yet they did, fantastically.

HAHAHAHAH. Yeah, Rachel/Finn are the reason I felt no qualms hopping in the shower mid show.

The preview makes me want to tune in with a morbid curiosity. There's something about Ricky Martin that reminds me of a fluffy pile of harmless bunnies. And his ass is pretty great in a pair of jeans.

But it could just be a horror never before experienced by man! Same with JEFF GOLDBLUM appearing on the show soon. I frakking love Jeff Goldblum, but this show can go some really wtf places
