Alright, boys and girls, I don't have much time. I just want to let you all know
I'm still alive, albeit quite deprived of sleep. The sleep I haven't been
getting since October is weighing down on me now. Problem is I'm not used to
having to get up at about 7 each week day and the time at which I go to bed
hasn't changed from the days when I attended uni and could consequently always
sleep until at least 8, more often than not 10ish really.

Anyhoot. I don't know how I'm supposed to live through tonight - we're going
bar-hopping in Manchester. One of the teachers is going to be our guide. And
yes, girls (you know who you are), there will be a stop in Canal Street.
Woohoo! I have also decided that being in the closet was too much of a bore,
plus it's hell on the nerves and very tiring, and while I'm not gonna struck up
a parade and give out badges saying "be gay!" (since it's illegal, plus they
really should say "or bi, or whatever the gui you want), I'm not going
to hide anymore. If it comes up it will come up.

On that possibly life-in-England-changing situation, I'm off to catch the bus.

Actually I don't think next time we'll go to Canal Street, not if Stuart (no, not that one) is coming. He wanted to take us to bars with more indie music, which is just fine by me. I wanna see every side of Manchester! And good music is always of the nice. We might just go to Canal Street, though. I'm just saying nothing's for certain yet.

Indeed. It's nice to at least share it with a few people, and just not talk of that stuff with everybody else (just like you wouldn't if you were straight, really). I'm not about to go and make an announcement either.

I hope you're doing good! I can't wait for Christmas to be able to read Prelude at last. :)

Best of luck with that. I've never been good at secrets, and I'm not sure what I'd do in your situation. I'd hope that the people around you are understanding and open minded.

Thanks, hun. As it is, I had a chat with one of the language teachers who was ever so nice and understand about it, and he told me that if I came out it'd pretty much be the piece of gossip around the whole school for a while. Which was predictable, really, but still. It made me lay back and think about it. While I won't hide it from the teachers we hang out with, I won't be making an announcement just yet (or ever - who wants to make announcements about stuff like that?).

The problem with secrets is that you've got to lie. I just hate that. I know it sounds stupid, but it's the way I feel.

I watched PdL again, not yet the commentary, and try as I might have to stay unaffected by the loincloth, I don't think I'm over it just yet. I don't get what it is about that man's body, he's so not my style, but he's like some primal force of nature. But I couldn't make any satisfactory screen cap, as if said force wouldn't let itself be translated into a still image. So I did Jean-Francois and Sylvia icons instead. Oh well. (I was on the other hand completely prepared for Monica Belluci's hold on me. Phew.)
