greenie_breizh safely got here. So did Pauline and Christophe, some Parisian friends of hers, and we all went out in Canal Street last night. (Manyness in the way of thanks goes to the_swordman for dropping us off back in Grappenhall when our let's-sleep-in-Sale plans evaporated due to the illness of the friend whose place we were supposed to crash.) We didn't stay out too late though, since the music was so loud we were semi-deaf for the rest of the evening, but dancing was aplenty and boy, was it fun.
On a more personal level, it's also very good to have Jo here for non-dancing-related matters. *smirk*
I do hope to get some sleep tonight, seeing as how I'm exhausted right now and on Friday morning we're leaving very early for Serenity. Tonight's dinner in a pub with Daniel and some sixth-formers, since he is leaving on Friday. The house is gonna feel empty without him, and his departure makes us all realise how quickly it's gonna be our turn.
Got a day off on Tuesday, yay! Jo and I will go and see the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I cannot wait. (And hmm, I wonder when Towel Day is. I bet I missed it this year, stupid me. But then again, I don't know whether showing up at school with a towel would have been very welcome. Despite its being in honour of Douglas Adams. People are so inconsiderate.)
Why do straight people not discuss sex as readily and openly as non-straight people? I suppose it always comes back to the idea of how most people, to face the fact that they are gay/bi/other, already have to question the views society holds on such subjects. Thus making them less taboo. What are your thoughts, all of you? Do you find this too?
(And Babylon 5 absolutely rocks my socks these days. Got up to War Without End, now I have to wait 10 days to go on... I'm just happy I got this far before having to stop. And indeed, I do love Marcus. And Ivanova. And G'Kar. G'Kar has much of my love. I've even grown to like Garibaldi quite a bit! And let me stop listing the characters, I could go through them all.)
