fan_eluneLast night was lovely, with many friends coming over for ice-cream and cake. Yum. Some it had been a while since we'd seen them last, and it felt good to see they were still the same (and could still spontaneously come up with the funniest things about the stupidest things, like hoovers).
AND!!! I finally received Cagebird, by Karin Lowachee. I cannot wait to get started on it! But first there is Equilibrium to watch. (Yum Christian, yum Sean... among others.)

1. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that... I can get bleedin' scared about important decisions, but I won't want to show it.
2. My "happy place" is... probably the "Ile de la Tortue" in Erquy, where my parents took me on holiday each year. It's not so much a happy place though as just a place that for no real reason means a lot to me. Like the "Lac Bleu" (which is everything but blue). I don't have any happy place per se.
3. My favorite person in the world is... there is no way I'm choosing just the one person. Tough luck.
4. I love fandom because... you meet people who are just as crazy as you are, and craziness is good. 'Sides, hidden among the not-so-good or outright atrocious fanfiction, you find a gem or two, and that's always worth it.
5. I can't live without my... computer. Internet I can do without, but I need my computer to write.
6. I am most afraid of... making the wrong decision because... I could lose myself. To make things incredibly short and uncomplicated.
7. I feel most alive when... I'm partying. What can I say? I love dancing!
8. My most recent dream was... I really can't remember, it's all faded away. I think Alias might have been involved somehow. (But alas, no making out session with one Mr Sark. Or Lauren. Or Irina, Nadia, or Eric. How disappointing.)
9. My "comfort food"/"comfort song"/whatever is... ice cream, preferably Ben & Jerry's. Song would be anything by Jason Mraz or Common Rotation.
10. If I could take back one thing, it would be... my tendency to snap at people I love. Can't we erase that from me?
11. If I could change one thing about the world, it would be... I'd say make people more aware of environmental issues, but only because that's something we might not be able to afford letting them discover in their own time. But on the whole, I kinda like free will, even though it gives us homophobic hatred, intolerance for so many other things, wars, and let me cut the list short.
12. My political beliefs are... leaning towards the green side of the force, I have to say.
13. My views on love are... that love isn't something you just get, it's something you have to work for, and make sure it doesn't die off. Even though sometimes, you can't do anything against it.
14. Theologically speaking, I am an... agnostic. I believe in... the fact that there might be something out there because... why not? I just want proof. And I'm not at all convinced said something would be anything like any of the religions we have.
15. My sleeping position of choice is... on the side, curled up. Or stretched on my belly.
16. The quality that I adore/detest most in a person is... a good sense of humour / narrow-mindedness because... if you can laugh about things, you won't whine about them all the time. If you can make people laugh, you can share some joy. (Do I even have to say why narrow-mindedness?)
17. Honey Nut Cheerios are... not of much interest to me.
18. The key to my heart is... encouraging my geeky/fangirly/authory tendancies.
19. A defining quote for me is... If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. And, also: often, life doesn't suck. (Yeah, I know, not the exact quote. So?)
