All right, so this is my first actual icons post. But I've decided to actually start posting them here to know what y'all thought, and if you had any comments on how to make them/my style better. Because I'm in dire need of getting better at this. So here's the latest batch. 17 Lost, 14 Doctor Who, 3 Harsh Realm, 3 Desperate Housewives, and 3 Ultraviolet. Comment and credit!

What program do you use ?

What I admire the most is your ability to choose and put your text. It's always well done. Even if I have to admit, most of the times, I don't understand :p

Photoshop, Photoshop, Photoshop. Is there even a choice? ;)
Seriously though, I wouldn't know what else to use, or how to use it. I'm already clueless enough with PS, and I've been using it for ages...

Thank you! I have to admit, sometimes it takes me ages to find what to put. Or I just put on music that seems appropriate and listen to the lyrics, wishing for inspiration to strike. But for instance, I spent soooo long deciding which adjective to use for each character in that series of Lost icons.

Photoshop is a must, I agree. There's paint shop pro too. I began with it ^^ and at first it seemed easier to use PSP. You can do as great things as with PS once you know how to use it. But then, it's the same with PS, once you know it, it's getting easier. I couldn't use PSP now if I had to. : /

I recorded Lost episodes last Saturday because I was not home and I still haven't watched. But it's JJA, so it should be great :) I didn't want to download the episodes, and maybe I'll regret it if I like the show (because French sucks sometimes ;p ). So I'll tell you what I think about it. And I find Evangeline Lily really beautiful :)

Argh. Sayid doesn't even have an accent in the VF!! *pouts* You're missing out, you should have downloaded. It's imo better than Alias (though I love Alias).

Evie - I liked her at first. Now her character annoys me too much for that.

Beautiful icons, as always. I really like number 9. Did you add some effects or was the picture already like this ? If so, which effects ? (behind Sawyer I mean)

I don't know Dr Who but number 30 is very interesting, art-wise me thinks.

And I love the text on number 22. Could be the same with Sark "Sark and leather... the true love story" ;)

Anyway they're all beautiful ! I'll take the Jamie one if you don't mind, with credit. *eg*

9... I played with the levels and then used some dark strokes I think.

I'm not that happy with 30, but thanks anyway. :) It might be interesting, but I don't think it looks that good.

And it's by "screwing around with it" that you get better. There's no miracle solution. ;)

Did 'em myself, as I watched the eps, when I saw a shot I wanted to do something with. But I know for certain many people have put 'caps up. Just google for them.

Even by "screwing around", you need a minimal amount of creativity, which I must have somewhere just buried deeply :)

You can do caps from Tv to your computer... My respect for Kay increases each time a bit more ;)

I love 3, 12 and all the Who icons. I can't wait to see Lost when I can either beg the videos from someone or it's shown on terrestrial at some point. Dom Monagan is one of my fav guys too.

Oh yes, I love Dom. Lost has definitely increased my Dom love, too. Although I remain a Billy girl at heart.

I've got a couple Dom icons up at NLF in the "actors" section, if you're interested (and tons of Charlie in the Lost section, 'course).
