Picspam, round #1

fan_eluneAfter a few comments from people who didn't know everyone in my Most Attractive lists, I decided to go on a little picspam rampage to make y'all share the visual goodness and all-around yumminess. I'll do the ladies later on, but here is for the men!

1. Billy Boyd.
Billy struck me from the very start as my favourite hobbit (meaning both that Pippin was my favourite hobbit, and Billy my favourite hobbit actor). There was just something about both his character and his performance. He didn't overact like Dom tended to, he played very simply and truly, and that made him funny as hell, and very endearing. The Scottish accent didn't hurt either, quite on the contrary. That's when I started loving him, in the films, as an actor. Then I heard/saw interviews of him, and boy. I was smitten. I was smitten with the interaction between all the hobbits, really, and Orli, but Billy more than the others. And then, there is Billy's Best.
Do I even need to add anything?

jade_plume, for which I'm ever so thankful. I stared at it for a good few minutes after she sent it to me. He's just lovely. Thanks hun!
Because you can't separate Billy from his Scottishness, and he looks absolutely adorable and silly.
2. James Purefoy
I first met James Purefoy in A Knight's Tale, film extraordinaire with cast extraordinaire. He played the Black Prince, Edward, and he could say a line like "Take a knee" in a way that others would ask you to follow them around the world and into the sunset. The kind of way where you can't just say no. The man has got loads of charm, and manly charm at that, and the women on the AKT cast voted him the sexiest man on set (Paul Bettany was very offended, but that didn't stop him from dubbing James "James Puresex"). Anyway, here's Prince Edward, with a wonderful smile.
I agree with Paul Bettany and Brian Helgerland (director of AKT): the man ought to be the next James Bond. I know everyone's talking of Clive Owen (whom I love), but it ought to be James.
He's got just the right sort of rugged charm, wouldn't you say?
3. Adam Busch
Ok, I know not many people are gonna be with me when I say Adam Busch is extremely attractive. But he is! I work a lot on voices, and his voice is just... go listen to Common Rotation already! He's a great actor, but - in my humble opinion, for what we've seen so far - a better singer. He's got such a presence on stage, it's quite amazing. He's a true showman. I'll scan my pics of the concert in L'pool sometimes this month and put them up, but in the meantime...
Just because I love Adam in a suit. Well, I especially like Adam with a tie. (Though I prefer him with glasses, but you can't have everything.)
With his co-villains on Buffy, Tom Lenk and Danny Strong. I love his look there, so cute and so... him! (Did I mention he gave the best hugs?)
I don't often pay attention to celebrities' lovelives, but when I heard Amber Benson and Adam were dating? That's not the best picture of her, but those two I love so much... And look at his serious face! He has this thing, where he just pulls a serious face, no smile, when you take a picture. And then he breaks into a smile, once it's taken.
4. Carlos Bernard
The character of Tony on 24 is probably my favourite character so far (only seen the first two days). There's just something about him. He's so decent. He's a good guy. He sticks to his code of honour, but he's not judgemental and he allows more leeway to others than to himself, he's not afraid to admit he was wrong and they were right. He's brilliant.
And Carlos Bernard is just lovely. There's something about him that just pulls me in, about the intensity of his performance.
Because Tony can look like that...
... and then he can look like that.

5. Naveen Andrews
So ok, maybe I'm not lusting after Naveen, but only after Sayid (think Lost, people). But still! Sayid is absolutely breathtaking. I puzzle at his ability to have sexual tension with absolutely anyone and anything. The guy gives off wave after wave of pheromones. And he makes tank tops look good.
There's something about this picture that I really like - the way he's holding himself, the folds in his trousers, the light and the shade.
Look at that. Don't you just wanna tackle him to the ground? And the character he's interacting with in that scene, it's Locke. What did I say? With anyone.

6. Johnny Depp
Do I even have to say anything, show anything? I'll just put this picture up, because I love it. I adore him on there.
And that one...
... because it is, in fact, Skeet Ulrich. I love this pic, and at first glance I completely thought it was Johnny.
7. Paul Bettany
Do I even have to introduce Paul Bettany? I discovered him as a brilliant Chaucer with a magnetic voice and a lovely tendancy to get naked in A Knight's Tale, and the rest is history. I adore Paul. I think he's a brilliant actor, he always shines in any role he takes on. He's got something. His voice is simply shiver-worthy, and those eyes can be so expressive. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing him play a villain some day (yes, Hollywood, that's a hint, take it!). Or has he already? Anyone?
Look at that expression. So caring... It makes you wanna cuddle up.
Just because I love the way he's dressed...
Because I love the hair!
Because, well, bare chest, plus he looks so hurt or something, and it's out of Wimbledon. How I loved Wimbledon, let me count the ways... It's not often I like a romantic comedy, but that one? Muchly so. Probably all thanks to Paul. And a lil bit to Kirsten, ok, but mostly Paul... and the directing. How did they manage to get me interested in tennis?
8. Jack Davenport
You'll all know him as Commodore Norrington in The Pirates of the Caribbean, but I first discovered him in the British series Ultraviolet. Well, discovered him and his voice. That deep voice of his, in which he can instil humour or sternness so very naturally and easily. I also find that he always imbues his character with a certain nobility that makes them stand out - but maybe that's just me. Just for the sidenote, he was also lovely in Mr Ripley. Absolutely lovely.
Look at that cute little smile of his.
Gah.
And again with the gah. You can just see his cheerfulness, just from his eyes.
9. Robbie Williams
There's this line in "Come Undone," where he sings about himself "so damn ugly, so damn cute." That's exactly it. This boy has got so much charm. He's a cocky brat, too. And he can be dead funny. And he did swing covers - how can I not love him? Despite his many, numerous flaws.
And I didn't even mention his accent.
Just look at that. He's so very endearing. And those eyes of his...
I adore that picture. So. Very. Much.
Robbie, don't sprawl on cars. You never know what kind of urges it can give people.
10. Christopher Eccleston
So Christopher Eccleston isn't hot. Big deal. The man is just... attractive. He's got a big nose, and big ears, but who cares? He can act. He can display such emotions that you can't but be drawn to him.
He looks ever so lonely on that one, don'tcha think? Aw.
Here's with the depth of emotions. He looks sad to the very depths of his being, a sadness that nothing could shake. (And it's that quick shift from unfathomable sadness to exaggerated cheerfulness that made his portrayal of the Doctor so very endearing to me - not that this is out of Doctor Who, mind you, I'm just rambling).
And then he can just look so carefree and innocent.
I'm not putting up any DW pictures because I posted some icons yesterday, and that'll do for DW.
Extra - Rufus Sewell
Just because not enough people know Rufus. And Rufus ought to be known.
That's the boy. I first saw him as Fortinbras in Brannagh's Hamlet, and then loved him in A Knight's Tale and A Man of No Importance, and then Dark City. He's supposed to play Petruccio in the upcoming BBC version of The Taming of the Shrew and I cannot wait to get my hands on that. Don't know yet how I will get my hands on it, but I will.
Quality of the pic isn't too good, but it shows his eyes so well. He has a very disconcerting gaze, I find, that was my very first impression of him in Hamlet.
He looks so... raw. I love this picture.
Anyway, that's it. The ladies will come next, and I might be persuaded (or, well, I might persuade myself really) to do some more after that, for other people I love. Be very afraid, this is only the beginning...

It's what this cap in the icon's from, and it's one of my favorite movies. He disappears into this terrifying monster, and you just cannot tear your eyes away.

I really wanted to go to the course here, but I applied a little late, and Manchester is so full of aimless students that the courses fill up early. RTD still lives here, even though he's got a fancy new job in Cardiff now, so he must like it.

You know they actually had an interview of James in can't-remember-the-name-of-that-English-magazine when he did Vanity Fair? I was quite surprised to see him on the kitchen table. ;) Interview was lovely, too, it seems the guy is a natural flirt, but without wanting to be! He's just that nice to people, and what with the sex appeal he has... Anyway. Same magazine also had an issue with lots of pictures of celebrities but also not as well known as they should be actors and actresses, there were a lot of my favourites in there. If I can find it again I'll scan some stuff for you, which I'm sure yo'ud like.
As for Jack - you don't hang around enough Pirates fans. The Commodore has many, many fans (and fangirls and fanboys, might I add), so Jack's become quite famous, in his own small way. At last! I remember being thrilled when I saw him in Pirates. People didn't understand my fascination.
lol - I don't know if it's an insight so much as me being overly sensitive to the sex appeal of one Naveen Andrews. Many other people will tell you they don't know what I'm going on about. ;)

No, it's an insight. Naveen doesn't appeal to me sexually, but I felt it. Like a wave of hot air across my face, every time he was on screen.
