BABY, I'M BACK! ('m not really a bloody animal, but anyway.) The connection is on, and working, and we are bloody ecstatic. For obvious reasons. And it's all thanks to Yerem, whom I'm feeling a very very strong feeling of worshipping for right about now.
YEREM, JE T'AIME!
And that was for the French-speaking moment of this post.
That said, I have no hope whatsoever to catch up on the flist. You guys, anything you think I should know about what happened to you this past week? Comment on this post and let me know.
houses7177, how're you doing?

Date: 2005-12-02 03:20 pm (UTC)Which was probably not a good idea. I don't even dare reread it myselfThe thing is, even when you're listening to the commentary, they shut up for "take a knee" and "beyond con-tes-ta-tion". Plus nothing prevent you from rewinding the scene a bit and switching back to the film audio track for a couple of minutes. Or even just to read the comments subtitles again because you somehow failed to manage to focus on them the first time. O;-)
Ah, well, when reading you, I discover that being mostly asexual (and therefore totally immune to other things than artistic and/or intellectual crushes) doesn't have just drawbacks, it helps with staying sane. Well... At least a tiny bit. *eg*
Well, I've seen the price of the DVDs, and I will pass for the moment.
Btw, I think I ordered the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang movie with Paul Bettany a few days ago, so if ever you're interested by
Paulthe movie...no subject

Date: 2005-12-06 10:54 am (UTC)So, in the right order - you mean the gladiator one? I rather enjoyed it. *beams proudly* I'm priviledged.
And of course they shut up, they're as obsessed and in awe over those lines as I am (we are?). Because they are clearly men of good taste and I swear, Paul in this commentary, he makes me think he's very bisexual. Hmm. I really wouldn't be surprised. Anyway.
As for being mostly asexual helping with the sanity, I'm sure it does. But I rather enjoy being lustful, and insane, so I don't mind. Heh.
So Vanity Fair's out in DVD already? Let me know if you ever see it being cheap, because - yeah. Between Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and James? Yes. Plus the Diggory kid at some point, I think I read, though I didn't know it at the time. The movie itself isn't a masterpiece, but really, James in those coats is worth it on so many levels.
Thanks for the KK(BB) offer, but I ordered it (Paul and Stellan, I had to) and have seen it and very predictably loved Paul and Stellan in it. Now I'm waiting for PotC 2 with even more impatience, because Stellan has utterly won me over. Also, Paul looks all young and all manner of hot and gah. See above re the insane lusting. Or lustful insanity, I'm not sure anymore.
Finally, my DVD, well, when are you free?

Date: 2005-12-07 10:07 am (UTC)Yep, this one. The one which currently makes me think "Oh, well, maybe I could finish it quickly and get done with it". Since four or five months...
Well, for those sentences, I think it was more Brian who commented on them, and how he loved hearing James saying them, and how he wanted to use "contestation" for so long...
The DVD is actually 9euros on a second-hand site. Otherwise it's higher than 17... And yeah, I saw for the guy playing Diggory, I was looking on IMDb at the HP4 actors on Monday night, and I saw that several of them where in Vanity Fair. Including 'Barty Crouch' and the little kid who is a HP fan.
Why not lusting & insanity? Shouldn't they be equal?
Well... I'm free all day on Thursday, probably the afternoon on Friday and on Sunday. Then on Monday until 4pm, and on Tuesday (either afternoon or whole day, depending on the results of the conversation I will have with Christophe on Saturday or Monday evening). After that, I don't remember having planned stuff.

Date: 2005-12-09 04:47 am (UTC)Yes, but it wasn't dear Brian who dubbed James "Puresex", now was it? Nor was it Brian who kept pointing at Alan's expressions. Heh. Seriously though, Paul is either bisexual or a Peewai. And by "a Peewai" I mean "someone so at ease with his own sexuality that he really doesn't mind coming off as possibly bisexual
and possibly actually bisexual anyway."Lusting and insanity are quite equal and occasionally go hand in hand, very good point.
