Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang) - not the recent one, but the one with Stellan Skarsgard, Chris Penn and Paul Bettany. It's a very weird little film, but Stellan and Paul are... well, they're Stellan and Paul. Stellan has a compelling quality to himself, it's odd. I need to watch Dogville again, which I've been meaning to do for a couple weeks now, but you don't just watch Dogville. That film breaks me too much. As for Paul, well, he made me cry. Which, you know, is what Paul does. Entirely too easily. But still.

Speaking of which. [livejournal.com profile] shadesofbrixton and I were talking the other day, and wouldn't Paul make the freakiest, creepiest Blue Glove ever? Meep. It's very scary. (Possibly you don't realise how creepy Paul gets. That would be because you haven't seen Gangster Number One. Which you should.)

Lost, spoiler-free - the Analucia ep was good enough, though I found her whole flashbacks entirely too clichéd. Same goes for Kate, although she wasn't as annoying as she could've been, which was a nice surprise. And Sawyer's chest is pure SIN. Just sayin'.

Also, I love Eko so fucking much. "Don't mistake coincidence for fate." Amen, brother! And do not want anybody to be nice and offer him another shirt, because the ripped one? Suits him so well. Oh yeah.

I can pretty much see Paul playing anyone and anything. The man is just that fucking talented. Blue Gloves as they were in Firefly though is a thankless role, doesn't ask much of the actor. But he does make the most creep-tastic villain.

Yes, exactly. While a Blue Glove wouldn't be the most challenging role for him, it would be something to behold. Gah. It would be almost too easy for him to be immensely creepy. I might have nightmares.

...

Okay, I don't think any dream with Paul in it could be a complete nightmare. But still.

And so in a perfect world where they do make a sequel/prequel to Serenity, even if it's only for TV... Joss will realise how good a Blue Glove Paul would make, just because, and Alan will call his old Knight buddy and ask him for a favour and Paul will agree. ...I love my perfect world.

Joss has been talking about a sequel, possibly direct-to-DVD. He wants to bring back Jubal Early.

*glares at LJ for not telling her about that comment*

Yes, I heard! Another possibility is a TV movie, not unlike Farscape's Peacekeeper Wars I suppose, which I have yet to see. And I think I read the original interview where he mentioned Jubal Early, but he didn't make it sound like he was necessarily gonna be in the sequel. Prequel. Thing. Anyway. It sounded as much like wishful thinking as anything else. We'll see! Personally, I'm more interesting in digging into Book more. And Blue Sun and the Blue Gloves.

Now the DVD had better sell well.
