fan_eluneA break from all the hotties to talk films and series for a minute. Jarhead? Jarhead has reawakened my Peter Sarsgaard love. And Jake's very good in it, too, but really, Peter. Also, after being warned so much that it wasn't as politically critical as it could have been, I found that it really wasn't all that bad. (Am still very much looking forward to Syriana for the political involvement, though.)
Now, Sheitan. Sheitan is just... unclassifiable. I can't even say that I liked it, or disliked it, just that I wouldn't have wanted to stop watching before the end, because I wanted to see it all. It's just so. Completely. Crazy. And very French, I'm really not sure anybody not French could really appreciate it for what it is. ...although "what it is" is still kinda blurry to me. I'm just so nonplussed by this movie. Crazy, it's crazy, but I can't say if it's in a good or a bad way. But, yeah, crazy. As is Vincent Cassel. Completely. Crazy. Taré. Fengkuang de. Loco. Verrückt. And whatever other language you feel like using.
Lost! Which I should have already downloaded but I got distracted by the fact that Paul Bettany was on Ellen's show. Ahem. (And he was so funny and cute and charming! He talked about the kids! And he and Jennifer looked so good and happy and in love at the Firewall premiere! /end gushiness) *starts the download* So, last week's Lost? Charlie still annoys the living shit out of me, I'm sorry. That's all, really.
And I just finished rewatching Casanova, and I adore David Tennant and Laura Fraser and Nina Sosanya and Rupert Penry-Jones. Rupert! Such a good job on Grimani. And god, it shows that it was Russel writing it. "...you're just dying to kiss me." "All we have is each other." I mean, he's taking what any good slash-inclined viewer would have spotted, and he's actually writing it into the script! So granted, there's no actual slash, because neither of them are into guys, but it's still out there. It's brilliant. Russel, I adore you.
Anyway. On that note, back to your regular program. Hotties on their way!
