I've got through the first half of Prison Break S1. Is it sad/weird/fucked up of me that the only reason I'm even tempted to download the second half is because of T-Bag?

That's right.

The bovine-eyed death row resident makes me want them to hurry the execution along. His pretty pretty brother is, well, hella pretty but is so much of a Gary Stu dear god give me a break. John was a walking cliché but had potential for being interesting, but then he just didn't anymore, and I might have woohooed T-bag there. C-note has been developped so little that I could care less. Sucre is yet another walking cliché, as is the captain, and the director, and the doctor, and and and. The whole show is so very obvious and expected as far as characterisation goes.

Only T-bag stands out, because he is a real bastard and I hate him so gleefully. So much potential there, and they'd better not screw him up. Not that I've decided yet if I'll be watching more.

I'm sorry, I think Oz' has ruined me for other prison shows.

Speaking of which, Rescue Me is done and... I'm... not sure how I feel about that ending.

On another note, can anybody recommand any grammar-oriented books for seven-year-olds learning English? That would be lovely of you. I would owe you a big, big debt. Something fun and clear, with lessons and exercises. Cheers!

Grammar-oriented books for 7yo learning English? I wouldn't even have bet they learn grammar that early (7yo = CP?) in French? Do they?
Anyway, good luck. ;-)

Well, yeah, they do. It's just simple grammar, is all. Like verbs and stuff. ...she might be 8. I can't remember if she's now in CE1 or CE2.

If the show was just 'T-Bag and his life in Fox River' I'd be glued to the set. By far and away he's my favourite character. Robert Knepper does some great things as T-Bag and he does have some good moments in the second half of the season. I can't wait to sit and watch the new episodes, he rules. He's also very sexy, which I'm sure can't sit comfortably in the same sentence as 'sodomising rapist' to a lot of people.

Robert Knepper is incredibly sexy. It took me quite a few episodes to realize what I knew him from, aka Carnivàle, where I lusted after him. T-Bag, though, not so much, because precisely, sodomising rapist. I tend to view him as a character more than a lust object. But what a character... Okay you're making me want to DL the rest of it.

Go on, watch the rest of it. I bought the S1 box set for Charlie when I was away and the first two episodes of S2 are downloaded and ready for me to watch. T-bag and Abruzzi RULE.

Had I not started watching PB before finding Oz, I'd never have watched it. Because yeah, pretty much.

And the Rescue Me finale was meh. I wished it had ended with last week's ep!!

Oh, god, that would've killed me. That being the end of the season? I kept talking at the screen going "oh god no you can't - it can't - no" in a frenzied panic. ...yeah, I blame Dean Winters.

And yeah, PB after Oz' is just... wrong. Only T-Bag passes muster. And then again.
