It's been a while, and I totally forgot to post those. If any of you cares about that 'guess what song it's from' post of mine a while back, here are the songs they all were.

Songs. )

Other than that, had a few revelations about Gaia. Well, not really revelations, but - anyway, to the point. I knew I wanted to do a Nicky episode, and I now know the two themes it's going to be about - his roots (who else was dying to meet his bastard of a father?) and his newly-defined sexuality. Or really, his not-quite-defined sexuality. Also, talking with Cinnie about taking typical situations the other way around made me give more of a thought to my idea of having one of the guys fall in love with a *woman* - I'd dropped the idea when I realised it was the premise of Russel T Davis' Bob and Rose , but as I haven't seen the series I can hardly be plagiarising it anyway. I'm thinking it'll be either a Jake or a Phil ep. Still no big boost of inspiration about the next episode though, which will be all Steve (which means, among other things, Seb sweetness goodness - how dearly I love the two of them).

Ah, I can't quite believe Joey will be here next Monday. It seems a bit surreal - in a bloody awesome way. Yay!

Ha, so this weekend I tried repeatedly to update via e-mail. It stubbornly refused to work. So I posted them in an entry on Tuesday. And now it's working with much belatedness. How annoying. There will probably be yet another entry that will creep up, so just ignore it, you'll have read it already. *sigh*

Should go bore myself to death with grammar and socio-linguistic definitions.

On the good side, I hooked [livejournal.com profile] khylarenelf up on BMB. Yay!

Just out of my oral comprehension/translation exam. The oral comprehension was about a few people commenting on Bush's State of the Union Address. Gah. Did I need to be reminded of how much this guy is a jerk? Translations weren't too bad, though they really were harsh on us in version, with the narrator commenting on how objects always became feminine when her husband had trouble with them - that's typical of the English language. I translated it all the same - you cannot solve such a problem in just a few paragraphs of translation, you'd have to be working on the whole thing. Oh well. And, oh yeah - desperately tried to find a way to translate "golly" in French. I wrote "bon sang," which is one of the two options my dictionary is suggesting, so all good - expect I don't think it's quite right. But the other option doesn't suit me any better. They just don't hold the same connotations as "golly." As for theme, it went alright, I suppose. We'll see the results.

Now, as a friend said to cheer us up: le pire reste à venir. (The worst is yet to come.) Tomorrow will be grammar and sociolinguistics. Help!
