I've been able to read The Authority - Human on the inside thanks to kirke_novak, which I am ever so thankful about, and I am in love with the art. Seriously. I want to stare at it for hours. Instead I'm making a quick LJ update before trudging off to my doom going to do the dishes.

Heroes? OMGGREGANDCLEA! Clea and Greg! Greg and Clea! I was grinning like a maniac. Also way to go on the Hiro storyline, and I like that cheerleader, and I still want to sex up Mohinder (and don't trust that new girl farther than I can throw her, which isn't very far at all), and oh Adrian you creep me out without even trying to and of course you really do love your brother. Love. The stripper mother sort of bores me, though. Sorry!

Studio 60? Lovelovelove. Everything. All of them. It's so Sorkin. Aaron is back! I'm even sort of getting used to Amanda. "You look like one of them but you sound like one of us" = best line. Also the Molière bit had me snickering like crazy and I might need to make an icon with the Tshirt print (and they need to actually print those tshirts for merchandising).

Desperate Housewives - you know, I don't know how this is even possible, but Gabby and Carlos keep tugging at my heartstrings. Their struggle to have a child touches me in a way Monica and Chandler's never did.

Right. The dishes await.

The fact that there's Mid/Apollo drama going on? Doesn't hurt either. I just wish they'd spread that story out some more, to get more depth on each aspect of it. Mostly Mid and Apollo, and Jack and Angie though. But god. So pretty. Thanks again.

I was a bit disappointed with the ending. They didn't show any Apollo/Mid interaction after the final fight. I'd love to see them making out up. Have you read Authority: Revolution yet?

Revolution have the same problem, we've never found out did Apollo and Mid came back together. I mean, one sentence from Jenny at the end would be enough. But hey, there's a new Midnighter series coming in November, can't wait!

zomg Heroes brings me GIGANTIC GEEK JOY. Lau mentioned that Clea Duvall was on, but I don't have much idea who that is and IMDb didn't mention it.. help, who the hell is she? The stripper mother story just plain freaks me out, because WTF IS GOING ON THERE. Everything else has some kind of basis in, like, normal comic book stuff but I just don't know what the shit her deal is. Hiro's my favourite so far, and EEEILOVEGREG. XD XD XD

She was the agent that cuffed Greg. Yumtastic. (You might know her from The Faculty, or she was Invisible!Girl in Buffy S1, or... well, you probably don't know her from anything else. Unless you've seen The Astronaut's Wife? I was too bored to go through the whole movie, personally.) Hiro and Greg rock my world.

The banter and the slashy are key elements to Sorkin. Yay for you getting hooked! That cast deserves it.

Heroes looks indeed very promising. To be fair any new show with super powered people and Clea Duvall would look good (btw, for a split second, I was able to understand people who say Jo looks like Clea, something with the jaw...).
I'm curious of how they're all gonna get together, who's that siller, is there gonna be a danger room ? :)
And I do like stripper mom, all the others have powers I understand, hers is intriguing. Can't quite see how she's gonna turn.
All in all, most promising new show so far !

Studio 60: I don't know, something's off. Maybe I was expecting "the new West Wing". Bradley is still Josh, I can't help it. Some of the attacks against the religious right look cheap. It's not as clever and funny as some of Aron's previous work... Ok as the West Wing. I so desperately wanted to love that show, more than any other new show for a long, long time and maybe I will but right now I can only hope it fulfill its potential.
And if somebody could come and erase the West Wing from my mind that would help, a lot !

The power's intriguing, the storyline is boring. Imho. It annoys me because I like that actress.

Heee! No, I like S60. I do think you're suffering from the West Wing Expectations Syndrome. Go see Peewai, maybe you can start a group? A program in wtelve steps? :p See, this is where I'm thankful that I got hitched to Sorkin via Sports Night, because I can very much enjoy a Sorkin that's not TWW. I can enjoy a television Sorkin and then some. The S60 pilot did not convince me, but now I'm finding Aaron again and I'm loving it.
