I've been able to read The Authority - Human on the inside thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kirke_novak, which I am ever so thankful about, and I am in love with the art. Seriously. I want to stare at it for hours. Instead I'm making a quick LJ update before trudging off to my doom going to do the dishes.

Nip/Tuck, I have to ask, where is the gay gone? That is all.

Heroes? OMGGREGANDCLEA! Clea and Greg! Greg and Clea! I was grinning like a maniac. Also way to go on the Hiro storyline, and I like that cheerleader, and I still want to sex up Mohinder (and don't trust that new girl farther than I can throw her, which isn't very far at all), and oh Adrian you creep me out without even trying to and of course you really do love your brother. Love. The stripper mother sort of bores me, though. Sorry!

Studio 60? Lovelovelove. Everything. All of them. It's so Sorkin. Aaron is back! I'm even sort of getting used to Amanda. "You look like one of them but you sound like one of us" = best line. Also the Molière bit had me snickering like crazy and I might need to make an icon with the Tshirt print (and they need to actually print those tshirts for merchandising).

Desperate Housewives - you know, I don't know how this is even possible, but Gabby and Carlos keep tugging at my heartstrings. Their struggle to have a child touches me in a way Monica and Chandler's never did.

Right. The dishes await.

I could say that I feel terrible for not posting while [livejournal.com profile] greenie_breizh was here but I would be lying. It was brilliant to have her here and I'm ever so thankful than in just a handful of weeks I'm flying home to her (though truth be told, I'd rather see her here than over in France - the end of my stay here is nearing and I am feeling a sort of nostalgia by anticipation, I don't want to leave!).

Unfortunately Joey's been ill and that has prevented us from doing a number of things, so she really hasn't seen as much of everything here as she ought to and we spent the weekend in. I tried my hand at the lemon cake and it's not as good as the one Noëlle had made. The syrup at the end didn't imbibe everything equally, that's why. I'll make it better next time; it's still very good as it is, in any case. I'll also put all the zeste in next time. Also, we finished the rpg, now Joey needs to write her flashbacks. //end hint. Personally I'll start working on editing it all. I'm very excited at the thought of its getting into shape. Also, I had Joey read the first part of my Icelandic story, and I can safely start working on part two now. Wheee!

We did go to Canal Street on Monday night; Vanilla was closed so we headed to the Via Fossa, where we had to prevent straight guys from rubbing certain parts of their anatomy against us. Blah. I don't mind straight guys at all (yep, euphemism), but I tend to prefer those that understand "no." That's why I much prefer the Hollywood Showbar, you're not bothered by repetitive and unwanted, heavy-handed offers. Of course, the Hollywood is better when it's not a 'members only' night with the first edition of 'Thong Idol.' It'll be better next time, love, I swear.

On Tuesday night we went to Suji, a Chinese restaurant that just opened in Altrincham, Weiwei (Chinese assistant at Lymm High) knows them and all. We got treated royally, it was extremely good. We all paid ten quid for the food and they presented us with so many different, excellent dishes... yummy. I was also quite happy that Jo got to see more of some of the teachers in a more sociable context than what little she saw of them when she came in to school on Thursday.

Last week's episodes of Desperate Housewives and The West Wing were brilliant. In both cases, the ending was the best, with a great juxtaposition of different scenes with very appropriate music on. Brilliant. (In case someone wants to know which episodes those were, for Desperate Housewives: "You told me everything I need to know" (I'm not sure of the exact quote), and for TWW it's 4x21 (they do have 22 episodes a season, right? It's the one but last anyway).)

It seems that Stage Beauty is only now being released in theatres in France. Y'all guys, go and see it! In English, of course. I think I'll be buying myself the DVD shortly. Also, release date for the North & South DVD is... the eleventh of April methinks. I can't wait! And Julia and I are going to see Anthony and Cleopatra (the play, of course) on Saturday afternoon, whee!
